Reality, cold hard facks about where we stand. It don't look good
Reality check about raiding Iran or any other countries...shocking stats when you consider the fact that Russia and China are in the process of conducting the largest military exercise in the history of the planet. The reality is, that Russia and China are scolding Bush about his threats the last few weeks about invading Iran. Even the NATO countries are firmly against any US plan of invading Iran. Even Bush's closest Ally in the War in Iraq, the UK, has stated FIRMLY, that they do not agree with Bush's playground bullying and war drum beating, regarding Iran.

22. They Don't Care!
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 09:25 AM by Hubert Flottz
Slugs don't put a real lot of thought into the things they do. They just crawl with the flow and leave a trail of slime behind them! I don't forgive them, I just pour salt on them and watch them squirm and shrink up when the heat is turned on them! Put a freeper in a place like Iraq and he'd think differently about Moms, because he'd be crying for his mommy 24/7!

"M-O-M-M-Y...these old mean guys are shootin' real lead at your little boy's candy ass!"

Can't you hear Larry in the prison cell with Bubba and the guys?

Larry...Bubba what did you do to get sent up?
Bubba...I killed 309 people and robbed a 41 7/11s.
Larry...Hey Mugsy what did they nail you for?
Mugsy...Well I stole $453768543243.00 from an armored truck I blew all to Hell!
Bubba...Why did they send you up here to the joint Larry?
Larry...I tore up a war memorial and frightened mothers who were in shock already because their children were killed in a war.
Mugsy...Guard...Get me out of this cell and put me in solitary, anything is better than bunking with a bastard like Larry!
Bubba...Hell...I'd rather be on death row than in the same cell with a perverted, hard assed, monster like you Larry!

2. If * wants to start a world war, invading Iran might do it.
Let's see, the CHinese and Russians are conducting joint military maneuvers and the Russians have come out on record as opposing intervention in Iran...yeah, recipe for disaster anyone?

6. If Bush only had a brain...besides KKKarl.
The Battleship Mouth and Rowboat Ass Syndrome, is a pandemic affliction amongst the GOP backseat generals. I blame the Diebold crooks and the 30% of Americans, who were stupid enough to vote for Bush in 04. Why did they hate America?

24. Sorry I didn't see your post Connie.
Between answering the phone, looking at the puter, and letting the dog in and out, I missed it.

I agree that the country is probably in the worst shape it's ever been in. Abe Lincoln nor any other wartime president would have been stupid enough, to hand out three huge tax cuts to the wealthy, and diminish our ability to defend the country, when the country is involved in a major conflict. It almost looks like the neocons want America to crash and burn! Like they really do "HATE AMERICA" and anything good it stands for! IMHO, these people truly are EVIL and up to no good!

Maybe what they need in Iraq is a tax cut for the rich?

...start lobbing the "nyuck-u-lar" warheads? For the time being, the US still has bigtime "superiority" in those, no?

8. The US may have more, but how many would the other guys ...
need. China and Russia for sure, have enough hardware to take out every major city in the US. Once someone starts firing nukes, even at a third party like Iran, the shit would hit the fan IMO. I sure don't count on "Star Wars" to knock out many incoming ICBMs, after the sorry results on the tests of our high dollar "Missile Shield".

13. YOU might not count on it, but what about THEM?
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 08:16 AM by Crankie Avalon
They're the one in charge, and they've been pushing for ABM systems since they got in 5 years ago--even with the cold war long over and "suitcase bombs" smuggled in and detonated here on our soil seeming far more likely than any ICBMs being launched against us.

Why are they so eager for an ABM system if not for the scenario you mention?

9. Ummm...they will lob em back even if we happen to be the first one to send
one. It would poison the world with fall out. You don't really think that's a winnable scenario, do you?

10. Me? No. Them?...
...they've had a hard-on about getting an ABM system from day one of their administration, even with the cold war long over and "suitcase bombs" being a much more likely threat. Why is that?

In the Reagan era, they were coming right out and saying they thought there were winnable nuclear confrontation scenarios.

I'm just saying that, being so hopelessly outnumbered conventionally, they might "try their luck" with nuclear capability instead, of which the US has the lion's share.

Again, this is if it ever came down to the US having to take on Russia and China and whomver else all at once.

I'm saying what they would do, not me. After all, so long as they are in charge, they're the ones who would make the decision, scary as it is to admit that.

Many of our military bases world wide are trip lines whose attack would simply be a pretense for launching the Big Ones.

11. I saw the cold war up close on the East German border.
The MAD theory HAS NEVER been put to the test, except on paper by bean counters. Once the nukes start to fly ALL bets are off! Nobody has EVER really launched. The US is the only country that has ever employed nukes of any kind in anger. The neocons are a threat to WORLD security, if they are EVER crazy enough to use nuclear weapons of any kind, against anyone. First strike is a pipe dream, because by the time an ICBM would get close to Russia or China, they would launch a salvo at us. Nukes are a NO WIN solution.(the mother of all "final solutions")

20. He probably knows some GOPers well enough to see for...
himself, how they tell lies and if nobody calls them on their lies they keep telling them over and over until, over the years they come to really believe their own lies. I know Republicans that do that very thing. People I've known all my life and have known how they voted!

I've known for a fact some of these people were lying. The first time I heard them tell the lies and I've been polite and not called bullshit on their lies. Then I watched the lies evolve to the point that when you confront them with the truth, years later, they are steadfast to the point, that I've had to conclude, that they in fact believe their own bullshit stories!

I'll bet if you think about it, you know some of the same type of people.

23. "Sad thing is 90% can't break though"
That's their pay-back for living a life based on total bullshit! What's bad, is that they drag their wives and kids down the same road with them and so their wives never really trust them and their kids mostly turn out like their lying parent, because of the example the lying parent sets for the child. So the tendency to lie, is passed down to the next generation of GOPer voters.
