ON CNN: Camp Casey smeared with "Crawford Standoff" label as if...
there were some sort of hostage situation.

Also McClintock county commissioner Ray Meadows supports the fellow who mowed down crosses--fails to condemn cross desecration. Also threatens protestors with death by auto claiming that drivers in the middle of fucking nowhere "may not see people in the road."

11. The OP also doesn't post a link...
That tells me something about the credibility of this thread.

4. but who's the hostage?
I don't have cable so am unable to watch CNN even if I wanted to so I can't question your interpretation of the spin, but it might be good to shine a national light on some of these cockroaches who support cross desecration and issue thinly veiled threats.

5. Well, the County guy was a total asshole and looked like it.
He started bitching about CNN's truck not being far enough off the road and how they would tow it. Miles said "can we at least wait until the interview is over?" The jerk was like "I'm lettin you know right now".

He sounded like a pissed off RW'er - he was sympathetic to the guy that mowed over the crosses. I think we know where he stands and he wouldn't say that when Camp Casey moves it would be OK. He wants to get rid of them.

He was a prick.

The desendents of who? (Prescott Bush?)

"Theirs is an important issue, but they need to move.
We are a strong, German family community.
We'll weather this. We're not saying stop; we're saying move."

14. To say you are in a standoff with the president is insulting to president.
I don't think its an insult to her. It implies equality, that she isn't backing down and he cannot make her.

15. Commissioner Ray Meadows said,
"There's a lot of property for sale there; buy a piece of property,
" he said when asked about a solution.

Commissioner Ray Meadows said, "I will be out there again today
when the buses run. I will take care of the road just like any
other road I would. What we're dealing with is a liability and
a safety issue."

Deborah Mathews reporting at the courthouse in Waco.

16. What a smartass response - "buy a piece of property"
asshole!

Yeah, like they would just LOVE to have a non-Bush-boot-licker buying property in the area.

They were totally pissed by the Crawford Peace House, said they'd "be keeping an eye on it".

These ignorant rednecks give all of us Texans a bad name and a black eye. I'm so embarrassed for my state.

THANK GOD FOR THE GOOD TEXANS who have generously allowed the use of their land. They are the REAL ancestors of the Texas spirit of hospitality, friendliness and fairness.
