Remember the crosses that got mowed down a couple of days ago? bush obviously doesn't. Or didn't care in the first place.
He had a chance to show some of that empathy he brags about to families of those he sacrificed in Iraq, and he actively chose not to.
It's been well over 24 hours now, without comment. That's way too much time for a president on vacation with no schedule.
Just one more example of bush showing his true colours (yellow and yellower) that should never be forgotten.

The whole thing could have been over days ago if he had just met with her. Then, when too much time had passed he couldn't meet with her without looking like he had 'caved in'. The incident with the crosses could have given him the opportunity to meet with her and still save face as it presented a new starting point - but he blew it.
I can't say I'm either surprised or sorry.
The longer he ignores Cindy, the worse it looks.

3. Look how long it took him to make a statement after the tsunami. |

He's not very good at things like this. IMO it's because he just doesn't care.

4. Why should he try to pretend he's something he's not? |

he pretends to be a cowboy on a pretend ranch. he pretends to have a mandate. he pretends to have a legitimate presidency. he pretends to have served in the military. he pretends to answer awkward questions.
Etc.
