Thanks. This is my response to the letter below, thanks to Media Matters for having the dated quotes on their website:
Those Republicans certainly have a selective memory in regards to the Bush Administration and the pledge to fire the Valerie Plame leaker. "Misquoted Bush" picked a quote from 2004 to indicate Bush had not flip-flopped. However, if you go back to right after the treasonous leak occurred, you get this quote from Sept. 29, 2003, "If anyone in this administration was involved in it
, they would no longer be in this administration." No qualifications about breaking the law there. The very next day, you get the following quote, "take appropriate action," against "anybody in my administration who leaked classified information." Again, no qualifications about breaking the law. What size flip-flops does the president take?
here is the original, which was in response to my "Rove in Doghouse"
Misquoted Bush
In response to “Rove in Doghouse,” you conveniently misquoted what President Bush said in October 2004. What he said was, “If any member of my administration is found to have committed any crime in leaking the information about the undercover CIA agent, they will be removed from the administration.” Since Rove has hardly been accused of committing a crime in this matter, Bush has not changed his mind on the matter. You liberals will do anything to discredit the President. You should have been so almighty when Bill Clinton polluted the Oval Office
