The notion that the rantings about Able Danger ha anything to do with blaming 9/11 on Clinton is a side issue and is really a red herring.

This move is more about getting rid of Posse Comitatus than anything else. Watch for particulars in this to point to a reluctance by the legal eagles in the Pentagon to share this information with civilian authorities due to concerns over Posse Comitatus, which becomes a built in excuse to dump the restrictions placed upon the military by that legislation.

This is how despotism encroaches upon Democracy, one baby step at a time.

It's amazing to me.

During Clinton's administration, the Reichwingers went nuts thinking rights were being taken away, yet under the Bush administration Reichwingers are lining up to give away their rights.

During Clinton's administration the Reichwingers howled about how Clinton was going to dispense with Posse Comitatus, and now they will be the bringers of the doom by going along with dispensing with Posse Comitatus.

And in the end, the last thing that will be done with Martial Law is the second amendment will be abandoned and the guns will be grabbed. And those who decried the Democrats over the second amendment will be the unwitting tools who bring this about.

I disagree with. You are correct to point this out, very important and as far as order of importance what you post IS much more important than any side issue.

But one glance into freeperville or two seconds of listening to talk radio shows or five seconds with any of my wingnut friends shows it is also very much about sliming Clinton and covering for the child king's ineptness. They want certain memories to be foremost in the cults minds.

They don't want things like this
