1. Those results ARE surprising
considering you know the Freepres are hammering on the CNN one.

2. I think CNN's polls are mostly "UnFreepable" (you can only vote once)
Which reveals the true power of the Freepers. I suspect most of the Freeped polls of the past were done with multiple voting schemes.

4. Yesterday you could vote more than once on the CNN poll.
Because I tried to see if you could. And it worked. So either their system wasn't working yesterday or...

3. I think the point of this is that we need to calm down
Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 08:55 AM by soleft

WHOOPS - I got caught up reading this article which is on the same page as the Broward poll and forgot what the thread was about.

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/southflorida/sfl-rxcomfort30sep30,0,7227752.story?coll=sfla-home-headlines

This article and these doctors are talking about developing a drug to help us calm down. I think what we need as a species is to figure out why we're freaked out all the time and how can be calm down naturally.

Another indication to me that the biggest source of all problems is not knowing healthy ways to deal to the emotion of fear.

7. The best way they can calm us all down..... get rid of Bush
He's done a great job at making us all jittery. When he first got in he made everybody "jittery" about the Clinton recession and the stock market. THEN he made everybody all jittery about terrorism and Iraq.

5. is there another sun-sentinel poll besides this question?
Now that the Marlins are in the playoffs and drawing big crowds, there is more talk of the team getting money from local governments to build a baseball stadium in South Florida. Your opinion?

no is winning this one btw by a big margin

Yes. The money-losing Marlins can't build a stadium on their own. The team should get government help. (21 responses)

81.6%
No. Governments everywhere are strapped for cash, and there are more important things to spend money on. (93 responses)
