Because Freaker Idiocy Needs to Be Exposed (WARNING: Freep Idiocy)
Seems the freakers are really all in a "tizzy" about this brave woman standing up to their "empty cowboy hat" Fuhrer.

Tracking their idiocy keeps me "busier than a cat covering shit on a linoleum floor", so I propose that all Freeper Idiocy be posted in this thread.

Let's save the rest of DU for more "important" pursuits.

Here's a few gems I've found:

Seems the guy who is letting the protesters use his land is an Army veteran. This definitely has the freakers panties in a wad. Here's one example of how they "support the troops"

If he owns anything six months from now, someone in Texas failed to do his job.

Audit his terrorist militant butt (yeah militant. This goes beyond terrorist sympathizer) to hell and back. Then if somehow he manages not to have become a street beggar -- apply some creative accounting and try again.

Surprise, Surprise! Seems the guy that ran over the crosses won a Purple Heart in Vietnam. Did the freakers make little bandages to wear on their fat sweaty faces for the guy? Did they question why he seems healthy enough to drive a pick-up truck over a bunch of wooden crosses and flags? Did they question whether he really earned the Purple Heart?

"Do I remember you from SBVT?"

Yes

2. Did the desecrator really win a Purple Heart???
You would think someone like that would be even more sensitive to memorials than most, then.

No accounting for what goes on in some people's heads, I guess.

6. Not to be snarky, but one does not "win" a PH like the freep stated...
it is earned by being combat wounded or becoming a POW, (which often incurs being wounded).

This is just a nit-picky thing w/me btw. No offense meant, but I do get riled a tad when i see "win" associated with military decorations; it certainly isn't a 'lottery'...:)

8. How do you feel about the phrase "Congressional Medal of Honor Winner"?
I've never heard "Congressional Medal of Honor Earner." :-)

12. I despise that phrase...the actual term used is:q
"Medal of Honor Recipient"

To be honest, there is no real mention of "Congressional" in the initial order. Congress votes on the issuance of the Medal, and in most instances, the president presents the Medal...but the whole "Congressional" thing is a ploy to make it look like Congress did the whole thing.

I'm not, in any way picking on you btw. I know it is a statement from a freep that started this whole thing. But as a Vet, this is just one of the little things that get to me. Many of the medals that have been earned over the years have been posthumous, and I do not believe these people were necessarily 'winners', but they were certainly heroic in their endeavors....:)

I am sorry if I came across a bit 'harsh', in no way was I implicating that you were 'wrong', and I apologize if you are offended. It is just a 'thing' with me....:)

19. I'm not offended, I'm just chewing over a little semantics...
..."Recipient," even if the actual title, sounds worse than "winner" to me. A "recipient" sounds like what you said about lottery winners, someone who was simply given something without necessarily doing much for it besides being in the right place.

To "win" something sounds more like a positive, like someone who actually deliberately went out and got something. To me, anyway.

Still, now I wish I'd typed "earned" in my post and avoided all this in the first place. :D

Take care.:patriot:

26. Depends on the context...One could say:
"Bob Kerry was awarded the Medal of Honor" or "Bob Kerry, a recipient of the Medal Of Honor".

Here is a link to the MOH site: http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/moh1.htm

They say some things that show me as wrong as well...but I can accept that. The whole "Congressional" thing is disturbing to me. The Medal is awarded in the name of Congress....but that is a mere formality IMO.

I have met two recipients of the MOH btw, and both were as humble as could be. If you want some excellent reading of a citation for the MOH check out then SSG Roy Benevides' citation....it is truly remarkable. I met this man in TX at Ft Sam Houston before he passed away. He dedicated his life to teaching children about integrity and how to be a 'better person'....:)

10. No Proof
Just some freaker saying that the guy got a Purple Heart.

and as far as Purple Hearts go, they'll believe shit that some 37 year old, white, unemployed pedophile makes up in the basement of his mom's house

But they won't believe the records of the Department of the Navy.

27. Really
If he has a (d) by his name or is going against any republican they smear him. Even smearing one of their own! It's so disgusting. Instead of honoring their service and what they do and going on the issues they slam him totally and his being. I wonder if we can make a list of people who they have slammed who's military? John McCain, Max Cleland, John Kerry, Wesley Clark, Paul Hackett and now a Gold Star mother Cindy Sheehan.

and so does pond scum - that's why they're all over there together on that website! Ha ha ha - I almost feel sorry for them. That last sentence was outrageous hyperbole. I don't.

It's not worth getting outraged over the handful of cuckoobanana people who think it was really okay to run over those markers - they are flawed humans and probably won't even make decent fertilizer when they're gone, dead from being permanently outraged, and pissed off about that too.

whatever you do, don't forget about the babies! BTW anyone have a good recipe? they all seem to taste like chikkin.

Seriously, medieval Christians said that about the Jews, and the Jews said that about the Canaanites and the Canaanites said that about the Assyrians and the Assyrians said that about the Phoenicians (they were right that time - at least about sacrificing babies) and the Phoenicians said that about the Egyptians who said that about the Hittites, ad nauseum to the dawn of recorded time and possibly further.

A few years back they were masturbating in a thread about the USS RONALD REAGAN. I registered and made my one and only post ever at Freaker Republic. I should have it framed like the first dollar bill from a new business.

Anyway, here's what I wrote:

"I think RONALD REAGAN is a great name for this ship. True to it's namesake, it will be late, $1 Billion over budget, and will be the only aircraft carrier to answer "I don't know", when the president asks "Where are the carriers"?

14. They're just pissed because...
when they arrive for their "counter-protest" they won't be able to get close enough for it to be effective. Fred has taken the wind out of their sails. The right of protest is written into the constitution...we can protest, they can protest....their problem is they can't HARASS Cindy, because they can't get close enough...and as far as "trashing the place," I'm willing to bet that when Cindy leaves the ditch...it will be cleaner than the place the FREAKERS leave behind...and, because we are actually people who feel gratitude for people's gifts--such as Fred's wonderful gift to us---we will leave the place, at the end of the month, just like we found it.

And, BTW, why, instead of going to Crawford, aren't the freakers enlisting to "support our troops" in Iraq? The more "counter-protesters" there are of age to enlist---the more OUR point is made...where is Jenna..where is Barbara....don't they support this so-called "noble" cause their father lied us into? Why do they hate America?

Maybe we ought to call the recruitment office in Waco, and let them know that there will be a bunch of "war-supporters" in Crawford on the 27th---anxious to put their bodies where their mouths are!

20. That is the crux of their problem...the blatant hypocrisy.
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 11:27 AM by rasputin1952
None of them are willing to sacrifice the time or the energy to do what they want others to do. There is always some excuse as to why 'others' should do the fighting for them.

One of the most powerful tools we have is the ability to show this hypocrisy to the rest of the nation. The loudmouthed supporters of war are willing to spill the blood of citizens across the nation, but are not willing to sacrifice a small amount of time in joining the military. Chances are, they could enlist as cooks or mechanics and not see combat. It takes 7 out of ten to support the front line. They are not willing to come to terms with their own cowardice and incredible selfishness.

Each time a 20 yo 'college republican' opens his mouth in supporting this war, veterans and other citizens should show up w/a recruiter and hold this guy/gal to the fire. Let them sit there and screech about how the war is 'noble', and then whimper before the recruiter that they 'don't have the time' to enlist.

These cowards disgust me to no end...:grr:
