Long overdue

Last night my son rented Fahrenheit 911 and we watched it together.
My hubbie, 13 yr old son and 79 yr old mother sat there and.....endured it.

It is a great film - it is just that I dislike Bush SO much that I could not say I enjoyed the film.

My mother could not finish it. She burst into tears when Lila Lipscomb was wailing about losing her son. My mother left in tears.

There has been allot of history since the film was released. The Duelfer report was released. The Downing Street Memo leaked. And, of course, many more lives lost on both sides of the fence.
Kudoes to Cindy Sheehan for putting a human face on the war and the costs of war. Kudoes to all of you who work so hard to correct a wrong.

1. The first time I saw it I cried from the beginning to the end.

My husband and I just watched it a couple of days ago. I still cried at parts (the mom), but now it makes me angry that all of this is still happening, more than one year after the film was released.

The shame is, so many people are still believing the lies.

1984 (by H.G. Wells, I think) and Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" - also had stories about the social pressure to conform to social definitions of Reality - including Un-ending War used to control people.

1984's been made into a movie a couple of times.
