A must read LTTE from Central Ky
The criticism in this letter is muted compared to the grandmother. She is seething with anger toward bush.

Chase Comley was one of the many Marines who died as bush was leaving for his 5 week vacation.

Mission accomplished?

My nephew Marine Lance Cpl. Chase Comley was due to end his tour in Iraq in October. Instead, he returned home late on Aug. 11 in a flag-draped coffin, which remained closed because his injuries from a vehicular suicide bombing were so severe that his gorgeous face was wrapped in gauze.

To have a certificate from President Bush telling me that my nephew was protecting my freedom is an insult. Saddam Hussein was not responsible for 9/11. Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction. My nephew died because of Bush's capricious war to avenge attempts on his father's life.

The Marine recruiters lied to Chase, telling him he would be deployed to Japan or Hawaii. Had he been protecting my freedom, keeping me safe from WMD, he would have been in Madison County, where there are stockpiles of chemical weapons, and he would still be alive to today.

1. My heart hurts for every one of the people who are losing loved ones
I just have this terrible feeling that letters like this are going to get to the point where they won't even be published any longer.

2. I think they will. If bush had 60% approval I would agree,
but the tide has turned against him.

5. True
I just meant that there will be so many of them that they wouldn't be "worth the time" to publish them. Meaning that more and more troops will be dying in bigger numbers.

4. And this tragedy, one of tens of thousands, gets NO MSM COVERAGE.
I can just spit teeth each and every time another U.S. soldier gets deployed by the politicians and gets mistreated by the military brass, and sacrifices their YOUTH or LIFE in this insane imperialism.

9. Sometimes it is just too painful to watch or read
about what is being done in our name.

8. We must stand up to him.
Let's not rest until bush and his junta is locked away in a federal prison, and brought before the court in the Hague. Only then can we begin to repair the damage bush and his junta have done to this dear land.
