13. First he falls off the wagon, then the bike, then the scooter thing
I am assuming this is the correct order of his bumbling attempts at non-pedestrian locomotion. First he gets drunk, then he wrecks his bike, and then tries the motorized scooter, and cannot do that. I guess then he runs to Bar and she doctors him up after swatting him a few good ones on the rump with her Pearls of Death.

29. He's hiding out.
The presence of this Unexpected Woman has thrown them for a loop. Bush's advisors don't know what to do. If he goes out and plays golf or does other frivolous things, there will be screeching to high heaven about "not caring".

Probably the best thing for him to do is to hide out and watch TV. They're hoping the Cindy phenomenon will go away by itself.

(little do they know it's just getting started)

33. You're right, he's avoiding his usual "ranch" photo ops. It's all Cindy
Bush is afraid of Cindy. He's afraid that any of his planned brush-clearing or bike-tumbling photo ops will turn into questions about Cindy, so he's hiding from the reporters.

THis is good. It shows the American people more what he is really like. That's why his numbers are falling. The whole world knows this will go away if he just talks to her. So they start to ask why he won't. ANd there's no answer helpful to Bush to that question.

39. His sanctuary has been defiled
There have even been questions asked about how he can spend his time vacationing while were at war. His tactics of using fuzzy warm photos of him being a "good ol' boy" are not working, and his balancing act has become a precarious stroll on a tight rope.

Good work Cindy!

from your link:

Officials and ordinary folks are gearing up for President George W. Bush's first visit to Idaho next week.

White House officials confirmed Bush will vacation Monday night and Tuesday in Donnelly and then head to Nampa Wednesday morning for a speech on the global war on terror.

The president will fly to Boise on Air Force One Monday evening after attending a conference in Salt Lake City. Hangar space is reserved for Marine One at the McCall Airport, just 10 miles from Donnelly.

57. My bad. I thought it was this week. Next week is better.
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 04:57 PM by Cleita
Maybe some people can get up there. There are plenty of campgrounds, but since this is the busy part of the tourist season, it's best to try to get reservations. Randi had a guy on from McCall, a town in the same area, who says that they are staging a demonstraton while he is there. Since I know Democrats are few and far between, especially below the panhandle, maybe they need some reinforcements.

Their slogan is "You can run, Mr. Bush, but you can't hide!" Randi didn't like it, but I did. I think it's perfect.

As for where he is this week, he's probably hiding up at the ranch in Crawford, afraid to come out, too chicken to face a dead soldier's mother.
