I post this every so often when they attempt to blame Clinton
for 911 as they are trying to do now in suggesting HE covered up evidence about the events of 911.

3. This is being rammed around by Senator Weldon from PA and
...some guy claiming he was in a special intelligence branch not connected with the CIA, military or any other known intelligence group in the U.S. Double secret secret undercover...Bullshit! People will swallow anything I guess.

9. Saw a sketch on msnbc this morning where...
They talked about clinton getting the warning about OSB moving to Afganastan and how bad that would be. Then about the attacks including 9/11. Nothing about how Clinton tried to take out OSB. How when he launched a missle attack on a training camp OSB was supposed to be at, the corportate media just went on about 'No war for Monica' - accusing him of doing this to only cover up for the blue dress scandle they they themselves created. Because of that Clinton was more reluctant to act as decisively. So it actually goes back to everyone pushing for impeachment of Clinton that OSB is to be blamed on.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1988869

President Clinton:

-- sent legislation to Congress to TIGHTEN AIRPORT SECURITY. (Remember, this is before 911) The legislation was defeated by the Republicans because of opposition from the airlines.

-- sent legislation to Congress to allow for BETTER TRACKING OF TERRORIST FUNDING. It was defeated by Republicans in the Senate because of opposition from banking interests.

-- sent legislation to Congress to add tagents to explosives, to allow for BETTER TRACKING OF EXPLOSIVES USED BY TERRORISTS. It was defeated by the Republicans because of opposition from the NRA.

-- Developed the nation's first anti-terrorism policy, and appointed first national coordinator.

-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up 12 U.S. jetliners simultaneously.

-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up UN Headquarters.

-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up FBI Headquarters.

-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up the Israeli Embassy in Washington.

-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up Boston airport.

-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up Lincoln and Holland Tunnels in NY.

-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up the George Washington Bridge.

-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up the US Embassy in Albania.

-- Tried to kill Osama bin Laden and disrupt Al Qaeda through preemptive strikes (efforts denounced by the G.O.P.).

-- Brought perpetrators of first World Trade Center bombing and CIA killings to justice.

-- Did not blame Bush I administration for first World Trade Center bombing even though it occurred 38 days after they had left office. Instead, worked hard, even obsessively -- and successfully -- to stop future terrorist attacks.

-- Named the Hart-Rudman commission to report on nature of terrorist threats and major steps to be taken to combat terrorism.

-- Tripled the budget of the FBI for counterterrorism and doubled overall funding for counterterrorism.

-- Detected and destroyed cells of Al Qaeda in over 20 countries

-- Created a national stockpile of drugs and vaccines including 40 million doses of smallpox vaccine.

-- Robert Oakley, Reagan Counterterrorism Czar says of Clinton's efforts "Overall, I give them very high marks" and "The only major criticism I have is the obsession with Osama"

-- Paul Bremer, Bush's Administrator of Iraq disagrees slightly with Robert Oakley saying he believed the Clinton Administration had "correctly focused on bin Laden. "

-- Barton Gellman of the Washington Post put it best, "By any measure available, Clinton left office having given greater priority to terrorism than any president before him" and was the "first administration to undertake a systematic anti-terrorist effort."

17. I have too
I truly believe that if GORE had been able to become president- we know he won, that 911 likely would have been prevented. Terroism would be a lot less of a probem today than it is, because we would have been indeed waging a sensitve war on it, and cooperating on many issues world wide.
Can you imagine how that story about Cheney wanting to NUKE Iran must be playing in the mideast? Talk about promoting terror!

18. I think we need to brace ourselves for reality.
That the treasons that has America by the throat, trying to cut off our lifes breath of freedom, goes beyond the White House. Possibly even to the core of the Republican Party. Then we can help america get down the path to Constitutional Freedom and Liberty without being detoured to insecurity by the promises of fear from the Republicans.

And an undeniable KEEPER! Thank you very much; nice resource!
Still, how can we refute the undeniable truth that Bill Clinton brought this country to the edge of ruin, not with his economic policies or his BIZARRE penchant for having consensual sex with young women (something our present pretzeldent is in NO danger of doing, cuz he doesn't like girls and girls SCREAM and commit Hari-Kari at the very idea of him rubbing his vile loathsomeness anywhere near them), but with that damn saxamaphone of his!

Just ask Zell Miller; he'll tell ya true:

"Jazz is the root of all evil!
ALL EVIL, dad-blast it!"

23. ALSO appreciated!
I get SO tired of hearing that bullshit line, how it's all Clinton's fault... I know I'm not alone in that, but it's nice to have some more hard evidence to rely on rather than my still-pretty-good but fallible memory.
And btw, what a silly name you have! LOL! Most memorable itself!

26. I appreciate this, because
I work with Repugs who blast me with their "Clinton's at fault for everything" drivel, and I confess that I'm not always prepared for extended debate. I sometimes want to ask for help here but still have a low post count and do not want to be accused of stirring up trouble, as I have seen others accused.

Please feel free to post as much of this stuff as you can. I often need it.
