8. Win the war for whom?

Are we planning on taking over Iraq and turning it into an American colony? If so we could continue to use force and add bodies until we get there. The country will remain in a state of perpetual war but we can stick a flag up and pretend we won. Who knows, if we add enough troops we may even be able to secure the oil supply for a little while. Is that winning?

Are we hoping to create peace and democracy in Iraq for the Iraqi people? If that was ever the intention, and it wasn't, it's way too late for it now. We are the salt in the wound exacerbating the situation.

While people here are (the US not DU) deluding themselves about how they can "fix" the mess over there, the people over there are dying.
