I just heard a report about Donald Rumsfeld going to Paraguay and his concern about Chavez and Castro's attempts to install leftist governments in the region.
Now I can translate this out of bullshit into what it actually means which is that Donald Rumsfeld is visiting the US client state that is being used as a regional base to support our covert operations to eliminate Chavez (who he still enjoys lying about) and pressure the region.
But I am guessing that not everybody has the backround knowledge to know what is going on in Venezuala and Paraguay, and even though they did clearly indicate it as government opinion, they did not address the fact that it wasnt substantiated.
This information is important news for progressives because of the subtext, but just sitting in a news clip it seems to me highly likely to suggest to someone who didnt already know the truth that Chavez and Castro were in fact attempting to install leftist governments in the region.
Am I wrong, would most people get this?
