But now that we're here, what is John Edwards doing these days?

2. Hosted NPR's Morning Edition for over 20 years
and got replaced last year by people who aren't as good.

3. Ex-host of Morning Edition on NPR
he did the show for about 24.7 years - they tried to move him upstairs, he moved out. They wouldn't let him stick around for his 25th anniversary, which was right around election time.

9. I listened to Bob Edwards for years as I drove to work.
Fair is not a word one can associate with Edwards. His interviewing and reporting style are so dead on and pointedly factual that even those who don't like him would have to say he is one of the most credible voices in radio.

12. Unfortunately, he no longer is with NPR
They retired him in an attempt to create a more youthful image. Their loss - our loss.

7. Former host of NPR's morning edition
He ROCKS. They made a huge mistake driving him out. For more info on him, check this ut:

11. Answer: Bob Edwards is a journalist.
Bob Edwards' mellifluous voice woke me up every weekday for years and years. NPR Morning Edition was a classy show. It's not been the same since he left. I miss Bob's weekly guest, Red Barber, too. Baseball lost a good one when Red died.

Bob Edwards on Red Barber -- a must click, with audio clips.
