Where have all the bumper stickers gone?

I live in a blue county in a blue state, and prior to the election there were tons of Kerry/Edwards stickers. Right after the election, suddenly there were tons of Bush/Cheney stickers, like they were too cowardly to put them on before the election, knowing they were likely to lose.

Now, suddenly, I'm noticing that practically ZERO cars I see have any stickers or even the ribbon magnets anymore. I just finally put a ribbon magnet on my car (http://theribbonrevolution.com/about.html#How) and I've been looking at every car and I just don't see stickers or magnets anymore.

Is this something that is happening all over the country, or just in California?

Is it because they have gotten harrassed and taken them off? Or they worry about damage to their cars?

It's so bizarre. I'm hoping that it is an early sign of a real reversal in support for Bush. Could it be?

1. i have put two on to replace my Kerry stickers, one says

"Turn AZ Blue! Proud Arizona Democrat" and the other one looks like this: :evilgrin:

2. I've noticed I'm seeing a lot fewer, too, and I live in

one of the reddest counties in Texas. Bush stickers, that is. Still lots of yellow support the troops magnets.

3. That's really funny.

I noticed yesterday that the yellow ribbons were disappearing. While I was stopped in a parking lot I counted 1 out of 10 cars that had the ribbons on. Maybe there is a shift.

5. I've been looking for the past month.

I think I've seen three "W" stickers. In Colorado. They've truly disappeared.

I've seen more b/c stickers in just the last two weeks, than I saw before the theft.

None of the stickers (Kerry or *) seem to have come off. There are neighborhoods in Minneapolis, where people still have their Kerry lawn signs up.

If anything, there has been a ribbon explosion.

8. I had stopped paying attention to the nut jobers

but then someone here posted that they were seeing fewer, so I started taking note again.

And I see less of them. It might be that they're coming off because the election is nearly a year past - but I'm also seeing Kerry/Edwards stickers again. Thinking of dragging out an extra I'd filed away - just to make the point of what could have been.
