People across this land held vigils tonight, they want you to speak to one of the people whom employ you. No one is asking you not to speak, but many are asking you to do so.
The efforts have been met with a wall of silence.
YOU sir work for us, all of us. Some of us don't like the job you are doing, some do. Fine.
I can see, perhaps, if this was only one person out of 200+ Million seeking an audience with you. This is more then one person, this sole individual is speaking for many, many, more. They all want an audience with you - but to be reasonable we realize not all can fit into your busy schedule.
But one can. And you are not even trying to meet with her and discuss the issues. So I will offer you some help:
Sit down and explain to Cindy Sheehan that this was a just war. That it freed a people being tortured and killed, raped and shredded, and compare it even (if you so choose) to the evils of previous empires against whom we have fought. Show her that you sent our kids, wifes, husbands, grandparents, et al to die in a moral battle - a battle to bring light and life to an oppressed people. And how you also were able to break the back of terrorists.
Sounds good on paper. Hell throw in some photos and intel reports.
But you not only won't, you can't. You cannot even convince this one woman that your war was a just and good one. How then can you expect the rest of us to believe you?
You have built a wall of silence and lies, and we the people are compelled to tear down that wall ourselves since you have no intention of doing it.
Sit your ass down, on camera, with Cindy, and broadcast it live. Tear down the wall you have built around yourself and this war. Convince us. Show us. If you think you can - well you have nothing to lose and a lot of support to gain. But you're not even trying. Why?
