Democratic Hall of Fame Weekly Nominations...
Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 11:12 AM by gully
I think with all the scorn, it's easy to forget about OUR heros with in the Democratic Party. I'd like to have a weekly thread where we post nominations for Democrats who stand up to the B*ush administration.

We could link stories of interest and back up our case so to speak. I hear so much negativity about 'democrats' here, I'd like to remember those that fight the good fight. Please help me keep this going. by keeping it kicked, and starting the new nominations thread each week ;)

We could nominate people like...

Dennis Kucinich for speaking out and fighting for what's right...

Howard Dean
Robert Byrd
Ted Kennedy
Texas Dems (less John Whitmire aka "Quitmire") ;)

The list goes on.

I don't want to debate any ones choice(s), as all nominations should be respected here, and in the end well have a poll to determine the Democratic Winner of the Week.

I think in this climate it's too easy to let the news 'censor' our Democratic Heros. They've done a mighty fine job of convincing most that Democrats don't stand up. Serves them well I might add. Thank Goodness for truthout, the news paper and many other online sources of real news ey?

He did well on Today, has been trying to get traction on Wilsongate since July 22nd, and he his trying to drum up Democratic support for Senate investigations into criminal conduct by the White House.

He's doing something to advance our cause as well.

3. If you're going to include the Texas Dems
and I assume you mean the Texas 11 state senators who went to New Mexico to block redistricting - get their names, and make sure you don't include John ("Quitmire") Whitmire.
