The Historical Orange Plaza
Edited on Thu Aug-18-05 03:24 AM by Carla in Ca
We had enough people show up tonight to be able to make a complete circle around the park in the center of this plaza. Amazing. My husband and I will never forget this night. Never.

I took this as we were leaving

Here we are. My wonderful husband of 24 years, happy birthday, and our Beagle, Jean.

1. We need to do more...
...the designated "Free Speech Zones" don't cut it.

Bush needs to have us directly in his face.

2. Well hon, I hear ya
but since I live behind the Orange curtain with 'W' people all around me and 2 Halliburton employees across the street, what we did tonight was a "we need to do more" wish from a year ago.
Patience, my friend.

3. Great pics thanks. I particularly love the beagle.
My little beagle is a little shy about going to protests and peace rallies. But I think I might convince her next time.

5. Thanks, fasttense
We took her to the Kerry rally last year and CodePink has a demonstration at the Plaza every Wednesday night, many of which we have attended, so she is not bothered by the crowds at all. Believe me, we wouldn't take her if she didn't like it. She gets so much attention!:)

4. My old stomping grounds. Good for you, Carla!
I used to live on Lime St. Nice to see some pics from home. Well done on your vigil! (Cute beagle, too. :))
