Frank Luntz has advice for Cindy Sheehan
I think the measure of Sheehan's "impact" is the fact that Luntz and Hoagland and the rest are all kibitzing on strategy for the antiwar movement.

<snip>

"If she had been less personal toward the president and less vitriolic," said GOP strategist Frank Luntz, "it would have had more impact."

1. He wishes....
Frank is out earning his money. It is the personal quality of this that is compelling. The personal stake that many American families have in this war and *'s apparent lack of a personal stake or personal feelings.

2. Perhaps Mr. Putz, er, Luntz misjudges "impact"
Cindy seems to be doing just fine in the impact dept.

3. I agree.
Cindy has handled this beautifully. She doesn't need any "help" from a Republican strategist.

5. Oh, he would love to "help" her...
... help make her look like a crazed, spittle-spewing harpy.
It's a pleasure to disappoint you, Luntz, you asshole.

4. Luntz got it backward
One of the reasons Cindy did get so much exposure at first was BECAUSE she was so personal about it and vitriolic. She's teaching all our Democratic leaders a lesson in spineology, not that they'll ever learn anything.

18. Exactly. It has always been personal, not political.
And when the right-wingers accuse Cindy of being politically motivated, they conveniently ignore the fact that she has also been critical of the Dems when it comes to their stance on the war. Here's a link to an earlier post with some quotes from Cindy regarding the Dems:

7. Well one thing Luntz knows and it is brush
"If she had been less personal toward the president." You can't make losing a son or child personal to brush. To brush it's just another dead body over which he has to climb to gain power and money. Can't make it personal, keep it business. Brush can understand business but this personal stuff about losing a child....jeez, can't have that.

19. Funny, made me laugh. But no I can't bear spelling his name out
and I have trouble finding the "*" key, old age you know. So misspelling it makes me feel good.

8. If Cindy had been (in the words of Frank Luntz)
"less personal toward the president and less vitriolic", then her words and deeds would not have been as powerful.

The thing is, Cindy Sheehan calls things as she sees them and the RWers can't tolerate anyone speaking the truth and criticizing their Boy King. Is Cindy angry and hostile? Damn straight she is, and she has every right to be. I hope she never, ever backs down from any of the people dumping on her now.

Try as they might, there's no way the wingnuts can spin this one their way.

13. Frank Klutz is just a glorified freeper drone.
The great Wailing and gnashing of teeth gets louder by the day!

The truth is the most potent weapon America has against neocon tyranny.

May You Burn in the Hell that you had a hand in creating Frank! The division that Frank and his fellow enablers create and feed on now, will come back and bite them on the ass soon.
