Christopher Hitchens is on C-SPAN trashing Cindy
I guess he has a whole speech that he repeats about Cindy wherever he goes. He said she was a fraud and that she will soon be exposed for the fraud she is. What is his problem?

1. His problem is a wet brain
There's so much scotch in his system I'm surprised his few remaining neurons are firing at all.

His drunk ass has enough trouble as it is without having to actually come up with new material on the fly.

15. Ain't that the truth,
It is sad. At one time I really enjoyed reading his stuff. But he made a choice to be a big time Clinton basher and snitch and when that backfired he just totally lost it.

3. A fraud?
How so? She doesn't really have a son who died in Iraq? She changed her opinion of President Bush? She's really a robot assassin sent back to kill Sarah Conners and ensure the future is dominated by creepy machines?

24. Nah...
She kidnapped babies and gave them to George Soros for his satanic rituals. In exchange, she got a hefty amount of drug money, which she used to hire NAMBLA black-op agents and sent them to Iraq to kill her own son so she could stage a protest.

19. Hey, we've all lost SOMETHING--
I myself lost my car keys yesterday... :sarcasm:

Empathy is NOT something the right "gets". The lack of it seems to be what drives them right. We will have to wait until it hits them personally. PERSONALLY. They seem to be able to remain happy little consumers even if their parents/neighbors/children are having a tough time.

The only thing that I like about high gas prices is that the herd is starting to look around for someone to blame. I suspect that the oiligarchs will let prices climb higher, and then at some point "take action" and dramatically lower prices to about $2.75/gallon.
The crime syndicate running our country will declare victory, and they will have successfully raised prices over a dollar a gallon - for good.

:puke:

..."has got a little too big for their britches."

Bill Clinton, Mother Theresa...the guy seems to live for trying to puncture the images of esteemed people. I think it's because he knows no wide segment of the population will ever esteem him, so he's jealous when he sees it happen to anyone else. He's "hating," as the kids might say.

32. Agreed, but I don't think that matters to Hitchens so much...
...he just likes to attack "big" targets.

If the target makes Hitchens's task easier for him by actually being a bad person, all the better for him--but I do mean "him" and him only, as I don't think Hitchens undertakes any of his "debunkings" of public figures for anyone's benefit but his own.

35. That's all true, and let's not forget:
Alcoholism has done to Hitchens' rhetorical skills what heroin addiction did to Chet Baker's musical skills.

After a decade or more playing the Dylan Thomas of punditry, he's increasingly unable to make a convincing argument.

There are oodles of links on the web to the whole sad story, but here's one from The Nation, appropriately enough, where Hitchens once had a regular berth:

http://www.thenation.com/doc.mhtml%3Fi=19990308&s=cockburn

Even in his supposedly progressive days, Hitchens evinced a real misanthropy. He cultivates the hard-drinking, disdainful image in a big way.

The Hardball performance last night was an attempt to come off as sincere, but given who he is, I wouldn't trust him with so much as a quick weather report. He's signed on to be an apologist for liars, plutocrats, and thieves, and that's his tragedy.

He'll stalk and flay the undead corpse of Henry Kissinger until he draws his last breath.

I can't see how the two halves of Hitchens can exist in the same skin.

He is libeling her and I hope she has legal advice on how to go about filing a lawsuit against him. What on earth does he keep mentioning David Duke for, as if he and Cindy were friends? Who's he working for? I never heard such a load of drivel from a more smarmy and disgustingly self-serving moron.

He says she'll be exposed as a fraud because she had political opinions!!! Is that illegal now in this country? Is he going to write an expose proving the raving lunatic, Rush Limbaugh right, that Cindy did not lose her son because Bush lied? The only way she is a fraud is if Casey didn't die, and I imagine she would take being a fraud any day, if only that were true.

These Bush/war supporters become more vile every day. This is the latest from Ann Coulter (can someone get some enlistment forms to that woman and get her to her recruitment office as quickly as possible? I know she's middle-aged, but there are people older than her over there)

From Ann Coulter, who never had children of her own, another America hating Bush supporter:

To expiate the pain of losing her firstborn son in the Iraq war, Cindy Sheehan decided to cheer herself up by engaging in Stalinist agitprop outside President Bush's Crawford ranch. It's the strangest method of grieving I've seen since Paul Wellstone's funeral. Someone needs to teach these liberals how to mourn.

Call me old-fashioned, but a grief-stricken war mother shouldn't have her own full-time PR flack. After your third profile on "Entertainment Tonight," you're no longer a grieving mom; you're a C-list celebrity trolling for a book deal or a reality show.

"http://news.yahoo.com/s/ucac/20050817/cm_ucac/cindysheehancommanderin grief"

Don't they realize that their old rhetoric doesn't work anymore? The old, tired 'Stalin, Commie, blah, blah garbage just makes people shut them out now? The body bags and the tens of thousands of wounded in every village in America tell the truth about this war.

Is there a way to drag her into court and make her prove those vicious words under oath? These people are destroying this country!!

can expect this kind of treatment when they dare express an objection to the death of their children. Mother's of fallen soldiers better be on guard because Anny and Rushy have them on their hit list. No one is safe from these monsters with no sympathy.

37. And don't forget
Christopher Hitchens who described children as 'things'. 'Everyone loses things, so big deal, grieving mom'. He's a supercilious, malingering, (go fight this war you're so passionate about, Christopher), megalomaniacal, mendacious POS.

Camp Casey should let the other mothers of fallen soldiers take some of the media questions now. Let's watch them smear all of them.

Crushing Christian symbols, memorializing the dead, isn't enough, the have to send out their propagandists to call grieving mothers frauds. The cowardly, weakness of the rightwing is mind boggling.

to get airtime. It's his paycheck. He owes Cindy. His faked animus toward her will pay for his scotch for the next ten years.
Screenwriters know they have to have a villain to make their story work. Hitch has to have an adversary---hopefully someone like Cindy who won't run into him in a bar and take him apart. That way, he can act all outraged at her, gasp, getting media attention...while he gets...media attention.
What a whore.

42. Cripes! Is Hitchens' latest boyfriend a Marine officer or something?
What in the hell is his problem? He wrote such a wonderful piece for Vanity Fair in the spring -- which all but proved the 2004 Election was stolen by the Bushies.

He knows Bush isn't a legitimate president. And yet he's in LOVE with Bush and his agenda. What a d*ck!

This, from a man who wrote a book called "Why Orwell Matters." Bush has put us in the middle of an Orwellian NIGHTMARE, Chris! Can't you see that?

Chris, sober up, take a shower, comb your hair, put on a clean shirt, and shut the F*CK up!
