1. Peak oil
Only because their are other sources of natural gas (coal gas, anaerobic digestion of sludge, etc.)

2. Well, I would say that all of your options, except for gay marriage
Are combining into the perfect storm for this country, and this perfect storm is what will destroy us. Scarcity of natural resources leads to further invasions on our part, which leads to retaliation attacks. Global warming is going to lead to global cooling and another Ice Age. Resources become scarce, increasing prices of everything, including food. Our agricultural land is already played out for the most part, requiring ever increasing loads of petroleum based fertilizers, etc. etc. ad nauseum, and around and around we will go, circling the drain until this country slides under. And once things get desperate, this country will turn against itself resulting in a brutal civil war.

All one can do is prepare accordingly on an individual basis, for the government and corporate America isn't going to save us from this storm.

3. I voted "offshoring" but I think it's the combination of that and DEBT
to other countries that's the risk.
