Who does bush fear the most: Terroritst, or WE PARENTS?
it is the parents who will turn this war fever around, parents like cindy sheehan, and parents who will prevent a possible draft.

maybe just maybe some of us DON'T WANT TO SEND OUR KIDS INTO A MEAT GRINDER for a bunch of maniac assholes.

1. Some recruiter keeps calling here for my 21-year-old
daughter. She is away at school.

My husband served. We respect the military. But we keep telling the guy she does not want to serve under this president.

They could take my son in a skills draft, too. But they would do it over our dead bodies.

2. Parents who love their kids must not care for Bush. I love my kids..
let's say I do not care for Bush.

Man oh man, has the United States and other countries an opportunity here.

America, hopefully will learn from the reign of terror.

Toss the Plasma TV, toss the TV of any type, for that matter, unload the SUV.

Spend more time with the kids.

Screw the promotion if it means less time with the family, etc.

Hug your kids. Put things into proper perspective.

Take control of your life! Madison Avenue - take a hike!

Help your neighbors when they are in a jam, etc

You got the idea. Let's all get real.

Not easy, but where has the greed and dumb-asses such as Rush got America?

Hope I am making sense.

4. You are making eminent sense.
I have lived like that for quite a while now, even without kids. I never joined the 'rat race', live a fairly spartan existence (my rule is that anything that we buy just once in a blue moon is ok, but anything more frequently purchased will be scrutinized fully for necessity) and ride the cycle to campus and grocery stores as much as possible.

OP, I think our new meme should be: "Dubya: you can run but you cannot hide". Hoist the SOB on his own petard. Kerry weathered that little vulgarism admirably (by completely ignoring it) but I was always troubled by what it indicated of the SOB himself.
