They feel comforted by being able to make one sentence declarations defending their positions. "He already met with her." What if Bush gave a speech to the nation answering her questions. I think that is what has drawn people to Cindy. We all want to know what is the noble cause? When will we know we won? What will we have won? No more trite phrases but facts we can understand and process. His problem is communication with all of us. War has been described as ultimately a battle of wills, what country will outlast the other. Technology isn't always the defining element, Remember Vietnam. Bush's failed leadership has caused this erosion of support. He hasn't oulined what we are doing and why we should sacrifice for it. His 'stay the course' isn't working anymore.
