CNN has been losing viewers to newcomers like Fox News and MSNBC, which together are attracting about half a million viewers a day compared to a little over three hundred thousand for CNN. Fox, with conservative stars like Bill O'Reilly, Brit Hume and Tony Snow, appeals to conservatives, and its viewership has skyrocketed.
