now we know why they let the "Independent Council Statute" DIE!!!!
so that this Wilson CIA wife's thing could NOT be brought before it!!!
The "independent Council Statute" was to be voted to be reinstated every 5 years since the aftermath of Watergate and 2000 was that year....i hate the GOP :nuke:
these basturds are the most insidious bunch the world has seen since Hitler! :grr: :grr: :grr:

1. I think the Dems also wanted it to expire
because it was abused so badly by Ken Starr.

3. I thought the same thing when they, the dems
were letting it expire. Knowing how they, the repugs, just stole the 2000 election. Repugs had already given us a taste of the meal they had planned!

5. Similar in nature to the Line-item veto
GOP pushed for it (and Clinton wanted it, too!). Got signed into law.

November 1996, Clinton gets re-elected.

Whoops, a (GOP friendly?) Democrat is coerced into being the point person for declaring it unconstitutional. GOP doesn't fight for it much once a Dem is the one vetoing the line items.
