3. There was a great crowd and incredible support from passersby.
My mom is featured in one of those pictures and is on DU for the first time tonight lurking around since she can't post. Hi MOM!

2. Nice pics... and this may be off topic or unrelated but what really
gets to me is that Amurka... well, one of her biggest worries is... whether or not she agrees with or is ok with the war she is pounding down on someone else in "their own country"... not here mind you... always somewhere "more acceptable" to throw a war.

7. I'm always happy to see pictures of protests on the Plaza!
Thanks for sharing these - it reminds me of old friends and candlelight memorials around the Nichols fountain.

(Hi to your mom, too! :hi:)

12. PS - The 2 pics of took of the asshat FReeper were too fuzzy
to post. I was so pissed at the ass that I don't think I held the camera steady. He taunted my mom and several elderly people in the crowd. He had an iron on shirt that he made that said (on the front) "End The Occupation" and on the back "Israel out of Palestine and Cindy out of Texas Too!" Major arsehole. Oh yea..he had a 2nd hand USMC hat on backwards. No way he was ever military, I guarantee it. NO Marine would conduct himself like that....absolutely not. Harrassing elderly people. Sick.

14. They are sick Scout
There was one in Crawford today chanting "I hope Teddy Kennedy gives Cindy a ride home"

And they came driving through Camp Casey - really fast. We did hear that one was arrested this afternoon.

But the good news is that there were so few of them - and hundreds of us across the road at Camp Casey.

Thanks for posting these pictures. I am impressed by the large crowd.

16. Proud, thank you so much for representing KC in Crawford.
I had planned on going today, but my friend bailed on me due to a guilt trip by her husband. I'm bummed, but planning on doing what I can from the home front.

The crowd on the Plaza was very nice and the support from passersby was really strong. Much stronger than it has been in the past. It gave us all hope.

Thanks again for representing for us KC'ers that haven't made it to Crawford yet. I'm down, but not out on the trip!

17. I suppose I could have gone there. Whoops
Didn't see anything about it. Probably wasn't paying attention.

Actually, come to think of it, I probably couldn't have gone. Gas is expensive...

Anyway, it looked fun!

18. Thanks for posting those. Looks like a great crowd and a
beautiful city. Nice to know the passersby were supportive as well. Sorry to hear that some freeper hassled your Mom and some elderly people. WTF is up with that? Apparently he was afraid to pick on someone his own age. Typical chickenshit freeper.
