I don't get charged now for calls I receive.

You will get charged minutes against your plan for answering the call.

6. It may have been an Urban Legend on ...

... 1 May 2005, when the above link was last updated.

However, starting in July of 2005 we HAVE been getting sales calls on our cell phones (we live in Texas).

Perhaps these are not from autodialers (unemployed market analysts?) but they definitly are mass marketing sales calls which do, in fact, get charged against our minutes.

no charge for calls is mentioned in the para's of snopes i read. But might be discussed further on in snopes.
