A morning poem for Cindy.
A lady stands at the front door
You know what she's there for
But you slide out the back, nothing to say.

Signs along highway
Crosses along the by-way

But Rove and Dick agree, you'll block out this display.

Vacation from vacation
Just go and tour nation.
Term the lady at the doorstep as an act of desperation.

But the desperation you evade.
That desperation's mine.
Desperations for friend far away.
Fearing being left behind.

Why do you fear the lady, standing at the door?
Why listen to the false prophets who continually implore.
"THAT LADY IS LUNATIC" from their pulpits they do roar.
She's undermining all our plans that we are fighting for.

Does one fear a lunatic? Does one fear a lunatic.
Just one woman. Just one lone voice crying out.
Surely, the surly are not cowed by her voice?
Surely, the surly are not ashamed of their choice
Surely, the surly are not wedded to the grief
Surely, the surly are not going back on their belief.

We'll bring-it-onWe'll finish the jobWe'll fight til the fight is wonBecause somedaysomeday really soonthey just might have the Bomb.

We'll March AheadMove Foreward and through. And secure the blessings of liberty too and if we fail do to what we say we'll do, we'll past the cost of the goof to you.

A lady stands at the front door
She's know what she's there for.
She waits up front, with a lot to say.

Stands along the highway.
Crosses on the the by-way
Just a mom with grief and dismay.

This is not a vacation.
This is not a getaway.
This is not some clueless lark.
This is not a time for play.

Insurgents to the right of them, Insurgents to the left of them.
No armor surrounding them. And leadership behind them.
Leadership behind them counting profits with glee.
To them Casey Sheehan was just a commodity.

Another small line item of another business deal.
Organic assets of hard equipment in the cost of the steal.
The true human bottom line, they shall never reveal.
For they've learned to make love to the petrodollar, they like the way it feels.

They know the truth of why they feel a human life is cheap.
They have the agenda and the morals and the minds of the thief
But still fear the woman below as the look down from the roof.
Cindy Sheehan has sparked a million more who now seek the truth.

We all stand at the front door
We all know what we're there for
And we have the front and the back covered down.

One way our another
we'll find you and the others.
And unlike the past, you can't dodge and take cover.

Cover from the lies.
Cover from the deal.
You'll have to come forward and finally reveal.

The lady at the door is someone you will have to see.
Whether its in Crawford or if you run back to DC.

We'll surround that house, too.
On that you can be sure.
Eventually, you'll have to answer to the lady at the door.
