Here's the latest concerning the Support the Troops Rally in Crawford on Saturday, August 27th. Move America Forward will be joining us in our permitted space. We have invited them to furnish a few speakers for the program.

We still plan to be at Walmart in Waco by 11 AM to await the arrival of the Caravan which will have started out in California. We will then fall in behind them and become part of the caravan.

Please decorate your cars in the colors--and if you have something that shows support to one of the services, try to display that so that it can been seen.

Starting out with the caravan in California will be a man we all know and love! His name is Jim Robinson, and he, along with his lovely wife Shelia, will join us for this event. Freeper Synchro has graciously offered to drive them here.

Please be thinking hard about the signs you want to display. Try to make them a clear message to our fighting men and women that we support them, our President, and their mission. Also, please bring as many American flags and service flags as possible.

Our permitted space is at the Civic Center and both sides of the football stadium. This is located on East 4th Street, across the tracks from the main street in Crawford. This is located about 4 miles from the other camp.

Please keep in mind that the townspeople of Crawford have grown very weary of this circus. Let's don't add to their woes. Please do not park alongside these very narrow dirt roads that surround the President's Ranch and where the anti-American bunch is hanging out. Try to cause as little traffic congestion and interruption to Crawfordians as possible.

Also, cell phone coverage is extremely spotty in and around Crawford. We are going to try to augment communication between each other with walkie-talkies. We will set the frequency when we meet--we will not publish it here. If you have a pair of these, you might want to bring them with you.

I still plan to be at our permitted space by 9AM, and hope some of y'all will join me there, because we will need to set up.

Actually, I have been there a few times in the last 2 days trying to find a link to video from the Kansas City vigil. There was an asshat freeper there taping and I am certain he was with the dark side. I figured that he would be so proud of himself for harrassing old ladies and parents of soldiers that he would post it there. He was taunting people and then videotaping their responses. I found a link when I google that references this video, but can't find the specific post.

You can't make this shit up if you tried. I wonder if this Wal-mart knows that their parking lot is going to be used by a bunch of redneck chickenhawks to meet up before they drag their "Jesus on a trailer hitch" pick-up trucks down to Crawford.

When the Democratic Party had real power, a convoy of a couple hundred Teamster's Union Truckers would coverge on this Wal-mart and then lead the Freaker Caravan down to Crawford at 2.5 miles per hour on the freeway.

Here's the more detailed plans for our event in Crawford on SATURDAY, AUGUST 27.

I have been in contact with the organizer of the Move America Forward Caravan Planner. We decided that the best place to meet up with the caravan is in Waco. We can meet in the WalMart parking lot at the intersection of I-35 and Lake Shore. That is on the west side of I-35.

I would suggest that if you plan to follow the caravan in from Waco, that you be at the parking lot no later than 11:45--they may be running later, but won't be there any earlier. If you can't or don't want to follow the caravan in, then come on over to Crawford

The last I heard, the caravan folks had not gotten a permit for a place to gather. I went ahead and got one for us--just to make sure we had a place. If they get one, and we don't need the one I have, I will cancel it. Unless he changes it, Police Chief Donnie has put us in the same place we were last time--only we have both sides of the stadium this time, and MAYBE the stadium itself. He is checking on that.

We have our permit from 9AM-5 PM, and I plan to arrive by 9AM.

Please help me ping everyone who was on the other thread--and add anything to this one that is pertinent and that I have forgotten, please.

A group called Move America Forward is organizing a counterdemonstration that is scheduled to arrive in Crawford on Aug. 27. The caravan will depart from San Francisco and will wind through the Southwest. It will be led by Deborah Johns, a Roseville woman whose son has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The event is being called the ``You Don't Speak for Me Cindy Tour.''
