national leadership sometimes require great personal sacrifice.

and a demand that transcends the obligations of family ties.

it is very sad that cindy sheehan's mother is in a los angeles hospital ... but the reality is that without cindy sheehan, this fire of which she was the spark may die...

the peace movement needs her, camp casey needs her, and the flames that her spark started also need her presence to keep the fire going.

at the great personal sacrifice of not being by her mother's side ...

i hope that the woman who knows the meaning of ultimate sacrifice will unselfishly make one more sacrifice and return immediately to crawford, texas and camp casey to keep the vigil against GWB and against his immoral war going.

that may be the greatest gift that cindy sheehan might give her mother whose soul, if being called to heaven, would open up with an understandig which far surpasses our own human understanding while here on earth.

1. I don't know
There's something human in Ms. Sheehan's desire to speak to President Bush, and there's something human in Ms. Sheehan's decision to be with her mother at this tricky time. And Ms. Sheehan's humaness (for lack of a better word) is a large part of her appeal.

What profit a man to gain the whole world and to lose his own soul as the scriptural saying goes.

3. hmm...
if the issue was Cindy wanting to talk to Bush, what'st he big deal? She's already met with him once since her son died.

I thought the issue was bring attention to mothers and family of men and women killed in the war who oppose the war.

2. why?
This issue resonates with a lot of people -- Cindy is not necessary for this issue.

4. Is this really a good idea?
First, from Cindy's perspective, I think her own mother comes before some larger antiwar movement, of which she only recently became a somewhat unwilling spokeswoman.

Second, if she stayed in Crawford while her mother was in the hospital, wouldn't that provide ammunition for her enemies? "See? She's not the caring woman we all thought she was! She just wants to hurt Bush!" If she really cared about her family, wouldn't she be by her mother's side right now?" etc.

I think it's in the best interest of both Cindy and the movement for her to take care of personal matters.

5. sheehans a mother and that role may be in form of taking care of
her mom if need be. but from what i hear, she has visited her mom, and her mom will be ok. her sister will stay with mom and cindy will ocme back saturday. buttt.....

if her mom needed care, cindy would be there to do it. that is what a mom does
