Poor little wingnut feels betrayed by * (Scheudenfreude, anyone?)
I stumbled across this quite by accident, and ended up reading it. Be forewarned: It is the blog of a hardcore, openly-admitted "Bush loyalist" (who calls Cindy Sheehan a "lunatic moonbat"), so it may turn your stomach.

But it's worth it to hear the real message being delivered -- which confirms what I keep thinking about how desperate and sad and miserable the freeper types have become -- and how even the most wacked-out peace-haters can suddenly turn on * (no matter how specious the "logic"):
Finally, it dawned on me this morning – why am I defending the President when he does not seem interested in doing it himself?

And in this I have found the source of my apprehension – I’m spending more time defending George Bush than he (and is Administration) is spending defending himself. This is unfair to me, a supporter of the President and his policies, and demonstrates gross negligence of his responsibilities as the leader of our Nation and (indeed) the Free World. It is, I believe, the source of many of his troubles with sagging poll numbers, the loss of support for the war, and his failure to be credited with the rather superb state of the economy (as shown by all objective measures).

<snip>

The Administration has made little attempt, other than the President’s continued insistence that we “Stay the Coarse” (and on that subject, could someone please suggest to his speech-writers that he never, ever, use that phrase again?), to make the case why it’s important for us to be there, and no one - and I mean no one – in the Administration is making even a half-hearted attempt to get ahead of the lazy, partisan press and their never-ending stream of doom and woe.

That is the fault of the Man at the Top – George W. Bush.

<snip>

Finally, people need to understand, is stark terms, what the costs of failure in this war are – and make no mistake, capitulating to the wishes of Dr. Dean, Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore and the rest of the “Get out NOW!” crowd is nothing if not an admission of abject failure. Yet, that is the path we’re running down presently and will continue to sprint down until the Man and the Top gets in front and turns us away.

("Stay the Coarse"? ROFLMAO! I am going to turn that into a bumper sticker!)

Have fun reading the comments, too -- most of which paint Fearless Misleader as a strong, silent, manly man who don't have t'answer to nobody fer nuthin' (e.g., "He reminds me of the way men used to be raised to behave").

There are some real gems, if you care to hunt for them, such as: "GWB has never worried much about polls. He also doesn't seem to be burdened by the weight of his decisions" ... "We have subsequently found out that much of the WMD evidence was not true. But that is not a lie" ... "New World Order? I'm not up to speed with the latest conspiracy theories from the left" ... "Truth is power and (every) American should want the United States to be as powerful as possible" ... "Face it. If our military only was comprised of liberals, we would be... France" ...
:rofl:

3. Well...
...he did get one thing right.

"an admission of abject failure."

If he'd left it with that, he would have been OK. ;)

4. "moonbat" Is that like "noble cause" "Saddam's WMD"
and "Let freedom reign"? The lengths that those idiots have to go to to defend that pathetic piece of shit are extraordinary! I would feel sorry for them if they hadn't supported so much fucking needless death and destruction.

6. Well, someone had to admit to abject failure, for chrissakes
And who else better than us?

Thanks for the great read, btw. Seeing their doubts out there in b&w is pure bliss to read. When one loyalist puts it out there like this, it gives permission to others to come out of the woodwork. Eventually, it will leave only the spinning right wing crazies. One can at least hope.

7. He fears "an admission of abject failure" above all.
It's not the abject failure itself, mind you ... but admitting it. This is a kid afraid to let his parents see his report card - and investing this 'morality' in his Pretzledent.

What a pathetic excuse for a human being.

9. If his base is starting to crumble...
...maybe he will start changing his mind...
...nah, never happen, he would have to admit to making mistakes.
Poor Georgie can't admit to making mistakes...his ego can't accept that !!!

13. Look at this little gem...
" ... "We have subsequently found out that much of the WMD evidence was not true. But that is not a lie"

So there we have it, the true intellect of the right wingers for all to see. Just because something is not true doesn't make it a lie. What was telling us about WMD when we knew they didn't exist be, then? It sure fits my understand of a lie.
