Are the success of Bush's Folly and the honor of our troops ...
... one and the same?

If the war fails and proves to be based on foolishness and manipulation, do the troops somehow deserve dishonor?

The troops, living and dead, keep and have all honor, regardless of the continuance of or outcome of the war. For Bush to say otherwise is obscene.

1. Honor belongs to all troops
This is what Abraham Lincoln said when he requested to go into a hospital ward with Confederates, he said, "They served for what they felt was right. It was the best they knew."

2. Many of those troops joined during the Clinton peace time
The fact that went their proves that they have been honorable and kept their promises. It isn't their fault, this whole mess is the fault of the nutcases in Washington, on both sides sent them there.

3. It wasn't "Washington" that did it. That's what Bush would like ...
... people to start thinking, though. It was Bush and the Republicans. Had they been out of power, none of this mess would have happened.

5. Bush, the rw, AND a substantial # of Dems too.
I'm not giving any of them a free pass on this mess, least they forget how stupid they were when this kind of shit comes up again.

6. If Bush and the Republicans had not been in power ...
... this never would have happened. That is indisputable. It is not giving the Dems a "pass" to say that they did not cause the Iraq War. The Republicans did.

The Dems won't forget they were deceived. If you can't trust the President of the United States to be careful, honest, and to do his homework before going to war, that's a problem. Bush has given us exactly that problem.

You saw the thing about Powell today. The guy that worked for Powell says that the White House didn't give Powell anything resembling intelligence documents when Powell had to go before the U.N. and the world. The White House gave him a "Chinese menu" from which to pick and choose.

The White House and the Republicans did this. Face it. Put the blame where it lies.

4. The troops in Nazi Germany fought bravely and with honor...
...but for a psychopathic madman.

It is the Fascist leadership that needs to be purged !!!

It happened in 1945 with the Nuremburg Trials...

...it can happen again...:kick:
