1. I hope the number of Gold Star moms & dads continues to rise...
And I hope they are billed as 'in addition to' to Cindy

There are two dads there (names?)
There is the Minnesota state rep

Who else? I would like to have a list compiled - it would be handy for a LTTE.

7. Shrub, you owe these women an explanation
~snip~

"We just don't know the truth behind the war," Allen told 11Alive's Jerry Carnes "We're at a standstill. Why is it going on? We want to know why."

Allen is the mother of Jonathan Shields who was 25 when he died in Iraq. Patricia Roberts is the mother of Jamaal Addison, who was killed at the age of 23. The mothers boarded a plane at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, bound for Crawford, Texas. They've joined in a protest there in front of President Bush's Texas ranch, demanding that president Bush end the war.

"I've never heard from the President," said Roberts. "He's never sent his condolences and never acknowledged my son personally, and that's what I ask of him."

8. That is disgraceful. What a callous man we have for a president.
Bless these ladies for taking up the cause. God, I feel bad about how these ladies were treated.

15. Bless these ladies indeed
My best wishes are with them. I do hope that more Gold Star Mothers make their way to Crawford. Let them all gather at the doorstep of the lying coward who sent their beautiful "babies" to die for a lie.

FUGWB!!! :grr:

17. I really can't understand any Gold Star mother who wouldn't want
to end this war. They are just not saying what they truly believe; they can not in all honesty believe that their child died for a noble cause. If they do, why don't they step forward and explain what that noble cause is?

16. Welcome to DU!
I hope to hear her from Crawford. I wish I could go, too. We are going to DC in Sept for the big one, but an unexpected expense makes it impossible to do both. so I send my love and encouragement to those who are there.

Again, welcome to DU! :hi:

11. Maybe it's time.....
Cindy Sheehan deserves our sincerest thanks and admiration for creating this movement, but I suspect that she would welcome many, many more Gold Star Mom's and Dad's to join her and take the pressure/focus off of her. I know I would.

I think that this is a great sign. Can you imagine the families of the 1800 fallen and the 10's of thousands casualties all converging on Crawford? It would be Bush's worst nightmare.

13. Thanks for this update
on what's happening right NOW!

rove must be losing it..it could have nipped this in the bud with one word to bush..but I think bush is really too scared. All he can do is say.."BRING IT ON" to the Insurgents when it's not his ugly ass on the line.

27. Good for these brave ladies
Junior has never spoken to them. He has no excuse for dodging them. No 'dangerous precedent' to set of <gasp!> speaking to a citizen more than one time.

Come out from under the couch, Junior. Your employers are at your door.

"Bad, bad moms" But, of course, he is a real asshole. Totally pro-war moran. He always has military people call in who support the war.

getting louder and louder....goodonya to these two brave women...brave women with brave sons who went to war to protect their home but it was a lie that their home was in danger from iraq when the truth is iraq has a large supply of oil and bush and his cronies are oil men and arms manufacturers who are getting filthy rich at our expense.

is not just about Cindy. Even if she has to stay a while with her mom, the movement will continue!
