what she DID say was paraphrase former Timesman Bill Kovic (sp), who, I'm sure she wrote in one of her posts, told her that the Times rule on anonymous sources SPECIFICALLY allows a reporter to break the vow of anonymity if said source is A)lying, or B) leaking information for partisan advantage

this must have been discussed before

she also said that Sulzberger is THE only force in the newsroom, and that all major decisions go through HIM, not the editor
