Did anybody catch it? It might be an indication that the tables are turning if Rove didn't have time to unload any bombshells over the weekend.

"The National Security Archive today made available recently declassified documents obtained through an FOIA request that show that the Bush administration was planning to remove Saddam Hussein as early as October 2001."

2. That's an important one.
You put two questionnable presidential elections together and the one big Iraq agenda and we'll be in the theatre of the absurd.

Of course, it would be very pro-active for the Clintonites to start putting together a timeline of all the news stories and meetings that occurred during Clinton's Adminstration to prove that they were on Osama's trail in the mid 90s. I've seen one 1996 article on DU this week that puts to question Gary Hart's claim that Clinton waited until Gingrich made it an issue.

4. It's definitely newsworthy, but this one really got quite a bit of
activity. I don't think anyone missed this tidbit.

5. Just went searching several news sites - and there is nothing
that jumps out as the typical newsdump - per dropping bad news off on friday late enough that it doesn't make the friday news cycle and is pretty much ignored during the weekend and forgotten by Monday.

Maybe they have just moved into total news suppression - realizing that the public is so unhappy with bushco that even little noticed news gets paid attention and has the potential to do more damage to the public perception per bushco.
