Bush is going to Idaho, right?
When and where? I'm normally up on this sort of stuff, but I've been packing for my trip back to Texas, which could progress by way of Idaho, if'n you know what I mean.

Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 11:53 PM by TaleWgnDg
mention George Walker Bush and Idaho in the same sentence, and I come up with MR. POTATOHEAD as Dumbya!

edited to add: But on second thought, that would slur and defame Mr. Potatohead

4. check out Idaho Peace Coalition for schedules.
Seems to start 22 August thru 24 August in the Boise area. Tamarack is north of Boise near McCall. An area super sonic rising property prices. just the perfect place to feel the pulse of the working Idahoan. :puke:

10. Yes, Idaho is almost bizarre but holds lessons
for us all. We have the worst hourly wages thanks to 'right to work' . The power of God Gun and Gays is seen here. These issues that have nothing to do with the misery now besetting us are paramount to the Idaho lower middle class voter. Dems need to have a real serious come to jesus (pun intended) discussion about the strangle hold that the repugs have on what should be our voters.

5. Sounds like my kind of place!
The Tamarack Lodge Contains:

New Hot Tub with Heated Indoor Pool

Newly landscaped

Beautiful spacious rooms some with open-beam ceilings.

Some rooms have balconies with some unobstructed breathtaking mountain views.

There is a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker in everyroom.

Luxurious, air conditioned, two room suites.

Great location, within walking distance to fine restaurants and great shopping. Truly the Heart of Sun Valley

Groups and tours are welcome
Free city bus service available

Never been to Sun Valley. Too bad I don't have the time or money to join Bush at his newest vacation destination.

6. FWIW, from whitehouse.gov
Q Are there any details on the Idaho and Utah trip next week?

MS. PERINO: There's no public events on the Tuesday. But if that changes, I'll let you know.

8. Uh-oh! Wrong Tamarack Lodge.
I believe Bush is going to Donelly: The views recall Tahoe. And the terrain? Call it Steamboat West. That's the early line on Tamarack Resort, 90 miles north of Boise, which opens in December. The Tahoe analogy is plain from a 7,700-foot spot on West Mountain's ridge: Far below, 22-mile-long Lake Cascade glistens in Long Valley. What's more, the resort sits far enough west to rack up 300 annual inches of snow (100 more than Sun Valley), yet it's east of Oregon's high desert, ensuring that the bounty arrives talcum-dry.

Don't expect Tamarack to max out your Pocket Rockets. The tree skiing in glades of aspen and subalpine fir, and the languorous blue runs that unspool down the mountain's 2,800 vertical feet, summon Steamboat—diverting, if not exactly heart-stopping. Snowcat skiing will be offered this year on 500 acres to be made lift-accessible in the next few years. It's all part of a $1.5 billion plan to make Tamarack a year-round resort with some 2,000 chalets, condos, and hotel rooms. (At press time, just 60 chalets and cottages were available.) For the best après-ski, head to the old logging town of McCall, 17 miles north.
