WOW What a CAMPSITE! Huge tent and MANY PIX

I couldnt believe how huge that tent is on the new site. It was so cool tonight too! We were treated to some really great music, and two men who marched with Martin Luther King Jr. Also more Gold Star Family moms, as well as an Iraq War Veteran who all spoke on the stage. It was incredible!

After an eight foot ditch, this is like paradise. Kids and dogs have room outside the tent. Much less traffic. More beautiful as well. Hope yall like the pictures. And so sorry if others have been shown, I just got home and wanted to post em, so havent looked.

Btw, tonight Mike Malloy said that the Peace House has received so many contributions that they were able to pay off their $90,000 mortgage. I have no idea if this is true. But if it is, I couldn't be happier. To know that contributions are that deep for the peace movement encourages me no end. It gives me joyful goosebumps.

I realize that Cindy's message is one of simplicity. But the numbers are growing and people need to be safe. The menacing has been escalating. So this really is a godsend from the perspective of safety. It may be lavish compared to the ditch, but it's still really quite simple given the daytime temperatures.

was not talking to Cindy Sheehan the minute she asked. Regardless of what happens in Crawford, the meeting of so many anti-war protesters in one place and their staying together for at least a few days and in some cases, weeks, will help build a movement for peace. This is bigger than the movement of protests against the Vietnam War especially since we have the internet to back us up. For every protester in Crawford, there are hundreds of people willing to stand at vigils and be counted for peace. This is the kind of moment that causes me to believe there is a God, that a Peaceful, Loving Presence exists, and that humans can be imbued with the power of that God, that Peaceful, Loving Presence. May that Peaceful, Loving Presence bless everyone at Crawford and guide them on their mission.
