Durbin: "Will Ashcroft ask Rove to take a POLYGRAPH?"
Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 02:55 PM by grasswire
The P word has been uttered on the Senate floor.

The P WORD!

POLYGRAPH!

....POLYGRAPH for Karl Rove!

Durbin noted that some months ago the WH had accused him of leaking some info, and the FBI came to him and asked him to submit to a polygraph test.

He asked "Do you think Ashcroft will go to Karl Rove and ask him to take a polygraph?"

He concluded that a special counsel was needed specifically because Ashcroft would not be able to properly investigate top WH officials.

4. He was very eloquent
The senator from Illinois was very convincing, as was Sen. Schumer. He said if his amendment is blocked it will speak volumns regarding what it is the Repubs have to hide. He basically said that if you don't want to be called hypocrites then vote for his amendment.

7. Good tactic
When I worked with this type of scum, I frequently managed to force them into doing the right thing by making the implications of any other decision clear and by making sure the record reflected EXACTLY where the buck stopped.

Hi neighbor. He's my senator too, I think he's wonderful and
very under rated - don't feel he ever gets the respect he deserves.
Everytime I call his office on any issue, I also start by saying how
much I admire him then go on with my thoughts.

5. If they hook Karl up to a polygraph
They'd better give him some asbestos shorts, too. Poor asshole will be fried before they get done with the baseline questions.

10. He might just pass a polygraph
I've heard sociopathic liars tend to pass these tests very well, as they are so adept at lying it causes no emotional response.
