Repubs need to stop comparing Iraq's "constitution" with our own...
Or the struggle to get a "constitution"... There are no Jeffersons, Franklins, or Paines that we see in this mess in Iraq. There was no outcry for a "democracy". Where is the Iraqi leader that we could even compare with Washington crossing the Delaware? Where are the Iraqis of Valley Forge? Where are their "Minutemen"?

But, the Administration and the "pushers" in the media keep telling us that it took us a long time to work out our Constitution also. But, the difference is, our invaders - the British, were not assisting in the writing of our Constitution and they were not bodyguards for George Washington. So stop the comparison.

1. Right, and it's not as though the Redcoats were fighting for our freedom!

3. Why? Most of them live in that century any how.
You know where the whims of the 'ruler's' are how we should live. Back to kings and the church backing him up. It is a madhouse and I am sure Iraq is in that path also.

4. For it to be like our Constitution, the Iraqis
will have to rebel against us and cast us out after several years.

5. It would be nice if they stopped lying period
Did you hear Rice's "process" speech (regarding the Iraqi Constitution)? It was right up there with Rummy's "known unknowns" speech...

6. Right.
I think that few things serve to illustrate more clearly the republicans' inability to see the growing conflict in the Middle East more than this. Iraqi people are not looking to become the 51st state.
