Wow, all I have to say is that I'm pretty damn surprised that the DOJ is launching an investigation into the "leak" at the White House who compromised Valerie Wilson as a CIA agent.

The White House staff was notified of the investigation by e-mail after the Justice Department decided late Monday to move from a preliminary investigation into a full probe. It is rare that the department decides to conduct a full investigation of the alleged leak of classified information.

It's about time somebody in the government does something regarding the destructive Administration (I speak of them like I speak of the Third Reich). However, what surprises me the most is that Yahoo is actually featuring a pic of our Nazi friend Mr. Rove walking by the new Scott McClellan, despite this quote:

"There's been nothing, absolutely nothing brought to our attention to suggest any White House involvement, and that includes the vice president's office as well," McClellan said.

In particular, McClellan said it was "ridiculous" to suggest that Karl Rove, Bush's top political operative, was involved, as Wilson once charged. "He wasn't involved," McClellan said of Rove. "The president knows he wasn't involved. ... It's simply not true."

1. When I logged on to DU this morning

and saw the DOJ had launched a full-scale investigation, I, too, was surprised. I figured they'd drag their feet. Now, I still don't trust Ashcroft as far as I can spit, but there is a criminal investigation, and that's a huge change.

2. Ashcroft hates perversion. Even the aberrant DNA of calico cats.

Who's more perverse than Rove? Ashcroft has probably hated Rove on the team even more than a crooked crease in his pants. This just might happen as a diversion. Maybe Rove will join bin Laden and Saddam in the sacrificial goat herd. Almost as fun to watch as a train wreck.
