I figured out why this bike ride with Lance was so important!
Bush finally can ride for two hours without crashing. He needed lessons.

1. Boosh is a sad, sorry little excuse for a man, who
has never really done anything of any particular value.
He sucks up celebrity from others who've actually accomplished something in their lives--without the syndicate's money.

10. At least a lot of the news stories about "the ride"
have pointed out the fact that Lance does not support the war in Iraq.

reported that.

3. Bush is constantly glueing his image to that of others. Remember when
he couldn't say boo about Downing St. Memo till Blair showed up?

Pathetic. The President has no image that can stand on its own. Rove sure has done a great job of diminishing the role of president. And the whole office. What sociopaths love to do.

4. Wow, glueing his image to others
Very interesting observation, and one that I don't disagree with. I think you're on to something, there.

9. When he has no famous person to stand next to - they put up forty flags or
a line of army suits & medals behind him. He cannot stand alone. Because he stands for nothing!

11. And don't forget the eye candy jingoistic backdrops behind him...
"Mission Accomplished"

"Made in USA"

"Stay the course"

"Helping Small Business"

"The fight is hard." or was it "It's hard work"?

"Jobs, Opportunity"

Again and again, the Bush* boys choreograph events to make it easier for him not to tell us the truth. And the truth be told, Bush does not have the capacity to even lie well when he tries to articulate a simple message of candor and unity to a population that is divided and increasingly distrustful of his words. Empty suit, and a lying sack of shit, to boot.

Just think, these stagecraft boys understand what's around his head is more important than what's in his head. Sweet Jeebus, I want to cry.

12. He's like the I Heart Huckabees spokesmodel. Maybe he will get
all pouty his true essence is ignored - and force us all to listen to a speech he conceives of and writes.

13. he seems to have some compulsion to compare himself to others ...
Edited on Sun Aug-21-05 01:39 AM by Lisa
... to make himself look good. And he often can't resist uttering backhanded compliments about them.

Look at this example ...

And I appreciate so very much the honorary degree you're conferring upon me today. I'm delighted that George Steinbrenner is receiving one as well. I guess we're both being honored as legends of baseball -- legends, at least, in our own minds.

It's a wonder anyone wants to hang out with him!

I'm glad the First Lady is here. It's an unusual job where all you've got to do is walk down from your living room and come to work. I'm really proud of Laura.

Secretary Powell has won the Presidential Medal of Freedom twice -- once with distinction. I'm not sure what happened the other time.

General McNeil, thank you very much. For a warrior, you're pretty darn articulate.

17. That's all he is, a "legend" in his own mind(?)
He's got nothing. His jealousy of others' accomplishments is glaring.

18. alas, there's plenty more where that came from
And it totally supports your observation, Blue State Native.

DUBYA: I appreciate the Secretary of Energy joining me today. He's a good man, he knows a lot about the subject, you'll be pleased to hear. I was teasing him -- he taught at MIT, and -- do you have a PhD?
SECRETARY OF ENERGY BODMAN: Yes.
DUBYA: Yes, a PhD. Now I want you to pay careful attention to this -- he's the PhD, and I'm the C student, but notice who is the advisor and who is the President.
-- Lusby, Maryland, Jun. 22, 2005

I want to thank the President and the CEO of Constellation Energy, Mayo Shattuck. That's a pretty cool first name, isn't it, Mayo. Pass the Mayo. His wife, Molly, appreciated that.
-- Lusby, Maryland, Jun. 22, 2005

In terms of your Prime Minister, he's a -- interesting guy. He's a lot of fun to be around. He promotes, uhh, serious business in a, in a, in a way that, uhh, endears himself to people. And so, uhh, I think his presidency has been an important presidency for the EU during difficult times, and he's handled it well. And, umm, I was gonna say he's a piece of work, but that might not translate too well. Is that all right, if I call you a piece of work?
-- welcoming Luxembourg Prime Minister and EU President Jean-Claude Juncker, White House, Jun. 20, 2005

DR. BIGGS: Put simply, we do, in fact, have a problem.
DUBYA: By the way, this guy -- PhD. See, I was a C student. He's a PhD, so he's probably got a little more credibility. I do think it's interesting and should be heartening for all C students out there, notice who's the President and who's the advisor. All right, Andrew, get going. Andrew's got a good sense of humor.

5. I was flipping past FOX...
...and saw the two of them riding bikes. The anchorwoman said something that surprised me...she said, "When asked what he thought of Lance, President Bush stated the obvious, 'he's a good rider'". What an idiot!!!!!!!!

8. Is it fair to compare bush to a chimp
I mean i seen chimps at circus'. They can ride bikes without falling down. I wish our president had that kind of paw to eye coordination.
