A contrary view regarding Plame-gate

Condi Rice looked terrible on the Sunday talk shows. She looked worse than Cheney looked previously. Is it possible the CIA did what they did, when they did it, to remove scrutiny off the estimable Ms Rice?

I wish her all the benefits of an administration under fire. I have hated her since she stood in front of the US and made that abominable claim that "no one could have guess they would fly airplanes in building". She's a lying sack of shit.

the CIA submitted their report in July, shortly after Novack's article was written.

Ashcroft recently (within the past week) decided to allow a preliminary inquiry to begin.

I suppose it's possible that Ashcroft's decision was timed to take the scrutiny off Rice, but the CIA played no part in the timing.
