Hardball talking about the Wilson Story
Chris: How can the White House deny the leak wasn't from them if they haven't investigated it?

5. Presidential politics!!!!
Lautenberg answers, "It's about the LAW."

I knew they'd spin it into campaign politics. The candidates should keep a serious tone and only allude to this matter. Let the CIA, FBI and Congress handle it. It looks like the CIA won't drop it.

16. More serious than Watergate? Hmm.
Both involve felonies. One was a burglary, and nothing of any value (certainly of any effect on the Election) was involved. All the punch was put into the case by a WH coverup.

This one involves treason, breaching security, putting CIA informants at risk of their lives. And there has been coverup, albeit ineffectual so far. Oh, I just can't decide which is more serious!

10. Notice, though...
...he didn't say he was Clinton appointee. Must've scrubbed that one from the GOP talking points.

15. LMAO, FlashHarry!!
All day long on conservative Cincinnati talk radio, they've been spinning the "Well, Wilson was a CLINTON APPOINTEE" lie.

It does indeed seem they've backed off the lie a bit, eh?

:-)

And what about the CIA 'assets'? Are they democrats, did they contribute to any Dem? Or are they too dead for any of that?

9. It's times like this that I appreciate Matthews - he goes for the
jugular when someone tries to b.s. him. Love it when he does it to the Pubs for a change.

11. Asked and answered...
- Here's how it works: Right Wing Shill/Talking Head asks the question. Both sides answer. Republicans say Democrats are 'bashing Bush*' and being 'partisan'. Democrats disagree and say justice must be served.

- Since the RWingers scream louder and have more talking heads...people are left with the impression that the Democrats are blowing it out of proportion and 'attacking a popular president' during a time of war.

- Everyone goes back to sleep.
