It looks like things are now getting dramatically worse in Afghanistan. I guess it's chickens coming home to roost for not putting the necessary resources into that one and diverting them all to Iraq.

This list should be posted on every telephone pole, every bulletin board, and in particular: Every Recruiting Office across the U.S.

I swear, Bush doesn't care. He just doesn't care anymore. I'm sure he's being coerced to "get out there and say something", but deep in his heart, he couldn't care less what happens in Iraq.

He's a quitter. He's walked away from just about everything in his life. His dad was always there to pick up the pieces.

Would you happen to know how soon they count the soldiers killed? I ask because on 8/18 icasualties had a count of 1862, 8/20 it was 1863 and today it is 1864. They change it at the end of the day so the 8/18 number of 1862 does not include the 4 killed that day. They have only added 2 to the list since 8/18 and 6 should have been added.

Am I misunderstanding how they list the deaths?

19. The 4 haven't been added yet. I think they make certain they

get the release from the DOD before they add to the count. Sadly, it will be added tomorrow and I will update the list and post a new.

or when a credible new report comes out about casualties. They usually add the names after the DoD releases come out.

24. I'm keeping a tally written on my

back car window, big numbers and letters and a sign in my yard. I live in a very small town, may end up a pariah! But have been getting comments from folks, all good so far and mostly repukes tired of gas prices, what a surprise. Guy at the gas station said, "Impeach him? We ought to shoot him!" and he looked pretty red!!

Each one reach one! I'll be updating car and yard signs tomorrow also. I'm just getting so tired of a breaking heart each day. We've got to stop these jackasses soon!

BAGHDAD, Aug 18 (AFP) - Four US soldiers were killed in Iraq Thursday, a day after 43 people died in rush-hour Baghdad bombings which the government said sought to create a sectarian crisis in the war-torn country.

The soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb in the northern town of Samarra, the US military said, taking to around 50 the US military deaths across Iraq in August, according to an AFP tally based on Pentagon figures.

Another US military convoy was hit by a roadside bomb in Baghdad early Thursday with Iraqi officials reporting some American casualties in the blast although the US military had no immediate comment.
