Ok so is it Tenent or Tenet
With all the posts here tonight on Dead Wrong we've had different spellings for George Tenent's name. Tenent, Tenant and Tenet - I did a google on both George Tenent and George Tenet and got hits on both.

from the White House

from the Senate

Many others but these were the two government sites I found - does anybody know how to spell this guys name - I've always heard the second n when I hear his name - who knows but its driving me nuts - not a long drive mind you.

1. I've never seen it spelled with the second 'N'
Always Tenet. It's just like I always hear people pronounce the word pundit like "pundint".

Tenet
Pundit

4. I went to cia.gov
and found it as Tenet - so that's what I'm sticking with from now on! The CIA would have to have their director's or former director's name spelled correctly - but google it and you'll see the Tenent is a common mistake

5. It's interesting that the WhiteHouse.gov website misspells 'Tenent' (sic)
... in a caption of a photograph that has historical ramifications.

President George W. Bush receives a briefing during a meeting with CIA Director George Tenent, right, National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, and Chief of Staff Andy Card at Camp David, Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001. White House photo by Eric Draper.

Now, is there something about that photograph that they'd like to keep low porfile? By misspelling George Tenet's name, do they make it less likely folks using a search engine will locate it?

What's the map a map of?
