So, when are we protesting again?

It seems to me that we have tremendous momentum regarding pro-peace support right now. Why not keep it up with bi-weekly vigils, or nationally organized protests?

The press is finally covering this stuff, so let's keep it up.

My guess is that after the success of last week's vigils, we could see at least double the support in the next one.

1. Seems like it's every day lately...

whether it's outside the Army recruiting office in Pittsburgh or in Crawford or weekly peace walks here in the Detroit area.
Sept. 24-26 is the next meta-mega protest, the big one in D.C.

2. It's a delicate balance

The trouble with big events is that they tend to overshadow smaller protests - the Cindy Sheehan vigil was a watershed event; one shouldn't expect this weeks protest to be that exciting - or that the media will pay the same kind of attention. Anything is possible - but the odds are that the next watershed event might be down the road a little further.

That said I think continuing to demonstrate could probably have a lot of positive effects even if it isn't fireworks.
