Literally, Has Organized Crime Taken Over the U.S. Government??
Want to run something by you from like 25 years ago (and then think where we are today).

At that time mainstream media was reporting that organized crime was entering into the world of "legitimate" business (taking their ill-gotten gains and investing). I can remember thinking that I doubted if those boys would simply sit around and let the wheels of business/industry grind out a profit for them. They like to "make" profits happen..if you know what I mean??

Fast foward. Today the executive suites of this country are filled with more criminals and criminal activities than you find in a federal prison!!! We are well aware of the stunning amount of corporate crime in the last few years with staggering amounts of money scammed from the public. Now add the "Bushs" to the mix.

The Bush family is not a family of statesmen. They are thugs. Papa Bush was roundly hated all his life in D.C. but managed to always scrape up some "appointment". Then came Ronnie. Ronnie totally hated Bush to the point where the Reagans socially snubbed them at White House affairs. Why then was he made VP?? Was that the "cross over" of organized crime entering our government?? Was Ronnie given an offer he couldn't refuse? Was Papa the political front man for the mob??..remember, it didn't take long for Papa to begin his illegal, unconstitutional activities.

Just a note: we've had some very odd and coincidental deaths that some think are more in the vein of political assassinations. We have certain right wing talk show hosts (the brainwasher brigade) that seems to be able to get all the drugs one can want. There are reports of interesting money changing hands that end up in the pockets of Osama's men, etc.

I'm no longer a person who says "don't be silly...things like that don't happen in OUR country...just in the 'bad' countries". Has the mob taken over this government by first taking over corporate America???

1. These people aren't Organized Crime as we all think of the MOB
The MOB would understand that it is important to keep money flowing through the hands of the middle class, that everyone needs to work and at least feel good about the government.
These guys are a band of criminally insane elite who are hell bent on destroying 200+ years of Democracy in the name of winning all the toys for themselves.
This is about world domination and the regime that wants to be in total control. The Bu$h Regime.

hands into legitimate businesses (as I pointed out in my post)then it's not unreasonable to think that some of them found a much more lucrative way to make a zillion times more money than they could ever hope to by breaking knee caps and other such "old" stuff. I also can't get the image of Hoffa's Teamsters basically trying to destroy any remaining hope for organized labor out of my mind---you know, since the Hoffa's are in no way, shape or form associated with the mob (cough)!!?

5. Absolutely
I point to the drug war, which has grown and grown over the last 20 years.

Please consider; notice they fight hard against pot. A drug that can be produced locally, and generates no import profits. Marijuana is the most favored drug on the drug warrior screen. Look at tv commercials, notice the pot refs? Meth and crack are bad, but pot is mysteriously very dangerous.

Look at all the potiential uses for cannabis, and think about all the other industries that might loose out. Like oil. And medicine. And paper. And plastics. SO many forms of industry that would be revolutionized.

Think of all the drug related illnesses and problems we WOULD not have, if our druggies used pot, rather than more dangerous drugs.

For all that, growing it for personal use is one of the most dangerous things a person can do. Here, in this nation. You may as well be a terrorist, for what the law will do. Over a non-toxic drug. Crazy, no? Helps our nation? Wastes our money more like, over 40 billion a year, last I checked.

Looking realistically at the uses of cannabis could blow the lid off the drug war, and that would be bad. For them. Other drugs would suffer.

Now think about all the other drugs we can't seem to stop from coming into this country, the dangerous and addictive ones. How does that still manage to happen, it's many tons being widely distributed. They must have some form of dealing with attempts to stop them and their profits, wouldn't you think? It sounds sophisticated. Do these methods involve bribery and shared profits? Isn't that part of doing business?

So we know we have many officials involved with the drug trade. And we know drug trafficking involves VAST sums of money.

Now I ask you, where do these extremely rich individuals live? Where do they "work"? In the slums? On the street? Or are they most likely in large high-rise offices, wealthy and connected and INFLUENTIAL?

It's money. There's lots of it. How could politicians, especially OUR politicians, NOT be involved? Anyone see how they would not be?

Because they don't like drugs, or are too moral? Or do they do as many illegal drugs are the "rest" of us? No, they're in on the profit.

It's why they keep pushing the failed drug war. Because we're being lied to. By the same people.

14. Thank you for the links
Thanks for the links and the backup. It's sad, I mean I don't bother posting the links anymore, because the information is SO pathetically easy to find on the net. It seems, in my pathetic slide into bitterness, that anyone who reads this type of info, and doesn't go about finding out more...it just doesn't matter what I say or what links I provide.

They either want to know, or they don't. The very idea that this crop could not only feed us, provide us medicine, AND cut our dependence on foreign oil...it all ought to be enough. You know what I mean? It ought to be worth some small amount of consideration. By those with vested interest, those that care.

Even just the history, it's easy to find, and it's glaring. It's completely racial. It was always about keeping people down, as prohibitions always have been. What's so sad is how much is being denied us: our health, our environment, food and energy. Everything we need. Except love I guess, guess that's the real lack. Caring.

Sometimes all I want to do is ask people, why is cannabis illegal? Because you're being lied to. Again. Surprised?

13. The cannabis perspective
Edited on Mon Aug-22-05 11:34 AM by firefox
There is a lot to be learned in understanding government policy/attitude on cannabis. The cannabis community brought us the vaporizer which could do a lot for tobacco smokers, especially if they were legal. It is a subtance that would do wonders on reducing the use and harms of alcohol. It is the greatest medicinal plant in history but now all of a sudden it has no medical use. It was a plant used by man like no other in its uses and its scale. Then the drug warriors and their police state came.

I learned what the word intransigence meant studying cannabis attitude. Reason has no place in justifying policy. The harm policy/attitude inflicts with its arrests, imprisonments, forfeitures, job losses, family breakups, and fines and court costs means absolutely nothing. Subverting science with wasted tax money means nothing to the drug warriors that must find something to demonize.

The biggest thing to learn from a developed cannabis perspective is that the real criminals are in government.

Take the 15 words I use to explain why cannabis prohibition survives despite the fact that there was no call by the public or health care workers to adopt its prohibition.

We have Cannabis Prohibition in 2005 because.

1. Corruption
2. Controlled media
3. It's the money.
4. Lies, bullshit, and obfuscation
5. We are ruled by treason.

I do not regard our government as legitimate as its purpose is all wrong. The true government of the US has been overthrown by its domestic enemies. Look at the mission statement of the federal government as written in the Preamble and you will see the government we have is in opposition to that mission statment. We really are ruled by treason. Cannabis Prohibition stands promoting the general welfare on its head.

Yes, the government is a conspiracy of criminals.

12. sam---yep. there is something I fogot to mention in my post
I meant to bring up the fact that never in my life of 60 years have I seen an "opposition" party scared utterly shitless of making even the most timid objection to the hell being wrought on the American people. It's mind blowing, for example, when even a third grader knows we were lied into Iraq and see a bunch of our politicians telling us that perhaps we just don't see things clearly, etc. More than once people on this website have in a fit of disgust literally wondered outloud if these politicians were not being threatened or blackmailed. Again, why not??---that's typical mob practices. There is definitley something going on more than we just happened to elect stupid Congressmen or spineless ones. I swear somewhere in it all, ye old organized crime has gotten into the government business.

imagine. Now multiply it by 10 because most of us cannot imagine evil on such a scale. The Kennedy murder was more than a coup. The lesson was not learned so they did it again. Watch all of them - how many of them look fearless?

And Judy Judy Judy WhatsaMata Hari how are you this morning? What - you say this topic makes you anxious? You are a little concerned about what you had for breakfast this morning? They didn't give you the usual cold cardboard eggs? I don't know what to say darlin, you know the options better than us. Just keep the number for poison control handy is all I can think of - maybe put it on your speed dial?

18. That's the essence of "Deep Politics"
as defined by Dr Peter Dale Scott:

"The constant, everyday interaction between the constitutionally elected government and forces of violence, forces of crime, which appear to be the enemies of that government."
