Protesters for and against the war are gathered outside The Salt Palace this morning in anticipation of President Bush's arrival.


SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Protesters for and against the war are gathered outside The Salt Palace this morning in anticipation of President Bush's arrival.

About one-hundred people are standing outside the convention center chanting and holding up signs. It's war protesters versus war supporters as they stand facing each other.

Protesters are holding signs that say, "War begins with W," "Truth is Patriotic," "We stand behind our president," and "Honk for Peace."

President Bush plans to arrive later today at The Salt Palace to speak to the national convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Bush will be in Utah for less than two hours.
