Wolff just gave his headline for what's coming up on his show today, and he said "So far there's no agreement on an Iraq constitution, and IT'S ONLY ONE HOUR TO GO TILL THE DEADLINE!"

So if they miss the deadline, what's supposed to happen???

I know, they're supposed to have to go back and have another country wide vote, but can't they just do another extention?

Geesh, Wolff tries to put so much drama in his stories!

2. They'll keep extending it until someone gives in
or they throw their hands up in exasperation. The constitution doesn't mean shit while a civil war rages.

3. I don't know
Who in the fuck says they absolutely have to write a constituttion by z date? I mean what the hell is going to happen, will we invade and kick their ass? Will the killing magically stop and the troops come home?
Much ado about nothing.

4. Chimpy said they'd have one
and by gawd they'll have one. Otherwise chimp's a liar and we can't have that. Either that or Haliburton will have to close up shop there and lose out on all that money. It must be some contractual thing. Just my guess.

5. They'll disband the current group and hold elections again.
I'm serious...that's what they said.

In practice, they'll extend the deadline again if needed.
