I need to finish this. Last week I tried to help with vans from Randi R.

& Barry C. They first offered up 200 sandwiches and then they (Randi) decided on air it would be better to provide whatever it took to get people there (shuttles, vans, buses, you name it).

Then they (I guess it was Barry and Randi) decided it was best just to ask for volunteers to step up and make it happen.

I am sorry for my melt down last week. I apologize to everyone here.

You all need to come to Crawford if you can possibly make it. Mr A and I have been activists since 2000 and what we see happening now is absolutely everything we ever dreamed of and never thought could happen. We spent the weekend in Crawford and we were both amazed. There were and are people from across this country and from around the world.

Thank you all ever so much and then some and then some again.

Makes me want to cry.

2. Your meltdown

was long overdue. It sounded like you had been working the jobs of 10 people, I don't know how you lasted as long as you did! I think most people understood that.

Was in Crawford last week, it is simply amazing what is going on there. If the gods are in my favor (please let the horse sitter be OK with this) my husband and I will be there tomorrow night thru Thursday night, we have to leave and be home Friday night.

I hope there is lots that needs to be done because we are going to work.

3. things change so rapidly in a crisis situation ...

And this IS a crisis situation, trying to meet the needs of so many people, with so few resources -- you've been doing such a great job trying to keep everyone in the know, but often plans just get rewritten due to circumstances beyond your control.

Unfortunately it's the people behind the scenes who bear the brunt of the pressure. Meltdowns are totally understandable in these situations, and frankly I am really impressed that so many volunteers (who don't necessarily have special training or experience at this kind of thing) have been doing such outstanding work. I have seen professionals in emergency management organizations who didn't have it together the way you guys do!

Way to go, Sherry and David, and everyone else there who is pitching in.

As far as I know, Randi did noth.

She talked alot, but she didn't walk the walk. (as far as I know)
